djDMS Borrowed from the news section on the Evo records site.

"After much pondering, we've decided to do a new label with remixes of classic tracks, featuring the originals...... A lot of people have been asking us to do this but we didn't want to turn Evolution into purely a 'remix' label - hence the offshoot label idea... It's only in planning stages at the moment but we'll let you know as and when we have more news....

This may be good or bad news to some of you as a lot of people say the originals should never be touched. This may be true, but we're selling to a new generation, 10 years on, who couldn't get the originals in the first place... A remix and the original mix would be like gold to some people!

We'll let you know when everything is in place....

Scott"

Now - to me, this is great news as there are lots of old Evo tunes i'd like to hear brought up to date.
But there are others who would say that the classics should be left alone.

So, opinions please.
Uproar I think its a very good idea. I bet the first release is The Power Of Love.

1) wrong label
2) it has been remixed, analhoover's vocal remix was released a year or so ago

there really weren't a lot of evolutions that I'd like to hear remixed, more so screwdriver and twisted vinyl...maybe a proper sped up version of check da' bass

Its been a while since the last one so another one would be great. Also, its another chance to own the original.
gobbo23 i get the inpression that they would be putting the original on the b-side, if so i really like that idea
tidyraven I recon on the remix label they should have the NuSkool Remix on Side A and a Gabber Remix on Side B of the same track.... keep up Scott Brown's Tradition of Happy & AntiHappy. Lol. Gabber Remix of Power Of Love... imagine THAT! Craziness

I can't think what Gabber remix of The Power Of Love would sound like, but I suppose it could work.
tidyraven if you take the 2001 Remix (Evolution 57) and put a harder kick drum on it you're almost there
tidyraven and referring to your signature quote.... lost is space rox! Even the Midex trance versions.

Warped Science 4 Storm & Euphony Remix does it for me tho
Loz_e intresting to see what the evo lot pull out of the hat this time
