Midway_raver I think i just come after reading the track list for sy's old skool bonkers set:D......I'm on holiday when it comes out so thats my plans scrapped that day i will be hunting down that album instead of women ( sorry ladies ;) ) The hixxy mix looks phat 2!! Looking forward to hearing Sharkeys set aswell coz i missed his latest set at North and havent heard any of his stuff for almost a year.

Like a bolt of lightning it's so frightning..Get ur brain now we're igniting
Brian K i was hoping for some newer stuff from everyone's mix, but i guess it's not too bad =P

"As punishment for your desertion, it's company policy to give you the plague."
William Daniel Sy's Mix is a ****ing Classic!!!!. Force and Styles - Wonderland TUNE!!!. Can't wait to see how far hixxys stuff has evolved from 2000! :) Long live Happy Hardcore!

Injected with the Poison. We don't need that anymore! :)
freestyler What I don't understand is why Dougal hasn't got a mix. He has one on the Bonkers albums 3 to 7. Why not on this one?

Brian K i'm sure he'd probably be on the 9th one if there is one, i like them varying up the djs so you get a lil bit different styles.

"As punishment for your desertion, it's company policy to give you the plague."
Simon Yes Yes & Yes I can't wait....We have waited patiently for quite a while now so....Lets have it bring on July 15th.

Sy.
freestyler Does DJ Dougal have a web site. I know Sy and Hixxy have one, but I was just wondering if Dougal had one.

davegage Already stuck my order in at the begining of the week. :)

"It's hardcore fever and its everywhere"
Kyle_Buffrey The new bonkers is a damn fine compilation, alright, but I would have liked it if Sy had used new material instead of a old skool mix, because they might as well release a old school bonkers anyway. It was a good old skool mix, though, don't get me wrong.
I hope Scott Brown gets to do a mix for bonkers in the future though, like some rumours have suggested.

Kyle Buffrey
DJ B.BASS But what don't get is it seems that Scott Browns Gang Bang Society is slightly different on Bonkers 8 to his albums, but it doesn't say its a remix :/

You can't buy these anymore but there is a Bonkers Discography you can download on the internet somewhere, its awesome :)
Captain Triceps You can buy them if you look around. Not sure why you dragged a post probably older then some members on here to mention that.

On another note, I won this album in a competition, I think from this very website. Around the exact same time I won a copy of "Masters of Hardcore", from USH.net as well. Happy days!
Samination I believe a few tracks gets remastered before they get releases as singles, either because they where unfinished or the producer thought it didn't sound proper. It happened to Rush-Ins, which IMO sounded better without russian cosmonaut voice on it.

And.. 2002? I thought Bonkers 8 was released earlier :P

Also DJ B Bass. if you can find the bonkers discography online, it's probably illegal as only one or 2 bonkers where released digitally, and mixed at that.

Yeah this was out 2002.

Can't believe Bonkers XI was released 10 years ago now! Only seems about 5 or 6 years! What an album (as was Bonkers 8). XI was of course released around the same time as Matrix Revolutions.
silver 11 year old topic... older than some of our members :)

I won Masters Of Hardcore from here. Good release! 2002 was such a good time for Hardcore.

What made you think that? Bonkers 8 was when the genre started to pick up again in a mid way, which definitely wasn't 2001!
Incidentally i bought it on the day of release although it wasn't intentional. I just happened to be in town on that day and buy it (although i knew it was being released that day).
silver Masters of Hardcore (the styles and breeze CD) was one of my favorites as well

The Styles and Breeze CD was sooooo slow though, like the tunes were all played at 0% pitch (I know it's a strange thing to complain about especially with hardcore) but when you listened to the Sy & Unknown mix, and other mixes and sets from the time you could really feel the difference in tempo.

Still it was easily my most listened to mix of the time, the tunes on it were (for the time) just unreal, and my dads car stereo took a right caning off this CD. Black Magic Bad Magic, Chemical Love and You're Shining were my favourites. Hardcore was massive again and I thought it would never end. They were happy days.
