About a minute and ten seconds into my copy of "This New World", it speeds up for a second then drops back down to it's original pitch. Does anybody else have a faulty copy?

Your record might be a little warped... and your turntable might slow down because of the hump on the record

The record isn't warped at all, and it speeds up, not slows down .

Mine's all good. I agree with the warped record theory.

maybe its warped up on the other side, so on the side your playing, it would go down, which means spead up : )
Oh man, I hope I didn't brain my damage... |

Hmmmm, warped theory sounds fine until you think "does it only do it once?"!!! Surely just one "groove" (yes I am aware there is only one groove on a record [:P] lol but you know what I mean) is warped.....it ain't possible...it would keep on doing a similar thing on each revolution
