Mortis Not sure why I'm posting it in here but I've just been on my vinyl decks for the first time in about 3-4 years!!!!

I've not used two record decks together for so long now but the last week or so I've been itching to play vinyl (and it looks like one of my cd decks has died). It was great fun. Messed up a few transitions but that's to be expected. So, the idea of making the "best of" 00-05 mixes seems like a real possibility now. I just need to grab my records out of storage and get my set-up sorted.

Mad Max I try to spin my vinyl as much as I can. Its the best way to mix by miles. I try to buy old records I missed first time around to keep the fresh vinyl to play with flowing.

Keep vinyl mixing alive its an art form!

Maybe some time soon I will post some vinyl mixes ;)
Mortis I used to love vinyl mixing but I've moved over to CD's now. Although I can mix vinyl I mix far better on CD's. I have more fun on CD's too because I can do more, saying that though it's the first time in ages I've played vinyl so no doubt when I get back into it my skills will be the same as on CD.
Audio Warfare Mixing on vinyl for the win. :D If I'm not using vinyl I'm normally on Serato haha. Much as I do like CDJ's it just doesn't feel as good.

Make it happen. ;)
Mortis I think it's going to happen Gaz. Need to get my recording set-up sorted though as my PC finally gave up the ghost on New Year so I'm on my bro's old PC atm. I'm sure it has a line in though. My daughter starts school this week so I'm going to have a few hours spare each day to get the mixes sorted. Couldn't give an idea of a time-scale atm but the idea's definitely hatching again
redwingz My decks (Stanton T120s) are boxed up :( they are like new, i just have no room for them and my mixer is broke, pity cause I have some wicked vinyl, especially gabber.

As for the 00-05 mix. Do it :) I will definitely give that a listen!
Warnman Didn't someone mentioned, girls get wet by djing with vinyls?

Excellent news. Be looking forward to them then and maybe pestering you for them if they don't materialise quick enough. ;)
Mortis Just re-jigged my set-up a little so the decks are properly set up. Next thing to do is get the CD decks plugged in and set up too. Hammered out a few tracks just now, was great

It's fantastic playing something you'd forgotten you had and haven't heard for years
