Xenochrome Get the techies.

DJ Mouse hell yes!!! they got those few more features that make mixing a bit easier for you. the big thing's there's no dip in the pitch,no more dodgy mixes when it's in the centre

silver Yes get the MK3's... the MK3's correct two problems:

1. You can't turn off the turntable by mistake with the power switch like the MK2's

2. In older MK2's when you were really close to 0 pitch sometimes the turntable would stop and start to spin backwards... I'm quite sure this is fixed now but not 100%.

you, me and hardcore forever.
DJ Mouse never heard of that one before silver :/

ronin i've seen the tech spec and what they say it does better, what i really want to know is has anyone used them and do they feel the same? especially with regards to the pitch
i expect they will, but since i've not used them myself i'd appreciate any input

Weasel do you really want to shell out a extra £50 for mk3's?
i have heard that if the pitch on a MK2 has dipped a little, when near 0% never happend to me though, mind you i hardly use techs (mates got em) im about to buy a set as soon as i can shift my Numark TT-2's for £500 (£300 worth of vinyl included ;))

I don’t mean to be rude, it just come naturally

that was my question!

i know about the dip at 0 pitch and it can be annoying when it keeps going to dead on 0 when you want it to be just off 0

miss-mitzi get em deffo

If computer games effected us as kids, we would all be runnin around in dark rooms munchin magic pills and listenin to repetative music!
saintberry ive mixed heaps on both, m3ds are woth the extra cash IMO....fixed up the deadspot on the pitch fader, better RCAs and GRD leads (fixed up static issues when lots of power cables around) and the dust covers are clipon rather than screw on also got a little guard on the on of knob so you cant bump it while your mixing

I THINK?????? also a better quality aluminum cover on the M3D

bowzer or wait for the mk5g's :)

DJ Mouse ^^^ i hope they're better than the mk4's (mk2 with 78rpm playback being the only difference)

ronin ok i've decided i am going for the mk3's.

i'm also looking to get a numark dm-3002x mixer, has anyone heard anything good/bad about this mixer?

it looks the good but i've not heard anything about how it stands up to prolonged use,
ie: does the crossfade pack in easily, not that i'm gonna be givin it too much stick, but its always good to have other peoples input

cheers

"get down off the f#©king speakers right now, down off the speakers"
Erbl i would say it is an ok mixer, not sure about the cross fader.
at that price though i would be looking at the ecler pro 20 (can be used as a 3 channel mixer if you need too) the matrix 3, a little extra but with an improved crossfader and circutary or the vestax pvc-175

silver From the page:
"Continual variable pitch adjustment of the +/-16% is made possible in addition to the +/-8%."

So the two buttons are pitch lock (0) and double pitch woop :)

"From adjustment mouth of turntable speed of stop brake easily adjustment possibility."

Cool :)

"Don't frown when someone annoys you, it uses 42 muscles. Bitch-slap the fu©ker, it only uses 4"

DJ Mouse
Peter_Go_Zania the double pitch is coo. Finally we dont have to open up our decks to pitch em. But I wonder if the motor is actually made for higher rpm without more wear???

DJ Mouse i imagine so,there's the mk5 then the mk5g's,maybe the motor on the mk5g can handle it,i mean it is technics after all innit
