Solar Flair Hey everyone, I just put together my first mix, and I'd appreciate it if you'd point out what I could do to improve in the future.

http://soundcloud.com/solarflairdj/solar-flair-first-mix

It's very basic, with 6 tracks over 29 minutes. I tried to get a little variety in the mix by incorporating a few different styles. Here's the tracklist:

1. Ponder - Morning Sun
2. Entity - Move As One
3. Contraption - Higher, Forever (Darwin Remix)
4: Helblinde - Flying Higher (I♥Ayu Bootleg)
5: Alek Szahala - Sunray (Unfinished Forever)
6: Starstruck ft. Zuraya Hamilton - Falling Over The Moon (2010 Remix)

These are all free tracks, so I don't doubt most of you have heard them before. The mix was done with Virtual DJ. I stayed away from the free effects and the Sync button, since I don't think either would really contribute much.

Let me know what you think! Thanks!
Samination just fading from one track to another usually sounds boring, but it worked well with track 1 to 2. Other than that you seem like you mix like me, so i can't complain, except that I actually use sync since I usually use the whole intro when I mix
Solar Flair Thanks for the input, and thanks to everyone else who checked it out.

I would agree that that first mix was probably the best part. I gave some thought to the track selection, but I didn't spend a whole lot of time on thinking about the actual mixing, so I guess it was more of just a self-test to see if I had the basics down. Next time I'll definitely have to fool around and make things more interesting.

to be honest, I might not be a great DJ, but the other transactions where smooth
Solar Flair Thanks! And I have to say, I just listened to your last mix, and it is certainly not bad at all.
