Archefluxx Sound found this by someone called STREZ.

And I instantly loved it when I heard it. Its repetitive made interesting by its styles and subtle production techniques.

Its got Hardcore kicks and stabs, and tempo, but its structure is very different.

What do you think about it? Its popular with 7800 listens, but it's not by anyone I've heard of.. Perhaps a small subgenre that's strayed, or evolved independently?

Ahh confused, but I like the tune :D
wong id say yes
Thumpa Hardfloor is also known as Tribe or Hardtek, its mostly French free party music but has a bit of a following in Russian, Czech Replublic etc...

No one really plays it in the UK but I've played it at HTID, Ravers Reunited & North...its great bouncy music!

Here's some mixes from 2007/8:

I don't really keep up with the music much these days as records were getting really expensive, they are like 8 quid from Juno now! My favourite artists were Floxytek, Billx and Riko...definitely worth checking out.
Triquatra that yeke yeke track was hardfloor wasn't it?

haha got me listening to yeke yeke now, such a classic.

*edit*

turns out hardfloor were a german dance act from the 90s.
Triquatra that link olly posted just sounds like UK hardcore or dubcore whatever with elements of speedcore mixed in

pigeonholing gone crazy.
Thumpa Yeah its known as a lot of different names - hardfloor, hardtek, tribe, tube...

The best place to get this stuff is Toolbox Records in France, there is a whole HUGE scene over there with literally hundreds of labels. I did play it out loads 2007-2009 but I can't keep up with the scene and can't afford all those records just to play in my room. When I played it at HTID the room went ****ing crazy though, its perfect music for cheesier ravers and its so much fun to mix!
Archefluxx I had a listen to one or two Floxytek tracks earlier.
Its interesting because its very similar to UKH, but far more popular, and looking at Strez tour dates, its much more widespread around Europe.

As Rowan said, it has that cheesy appeal. Quicker quirkier style about it. I really like it. I prefer the stuff UKH can turn out, but Hardtek is a pretty legitimate genre in my books and worth keeping an ear out for
Be Happy Sounds pretty different, Darwin made a "hardfloor" remix of Brisk and Kevin Energy's "Unlock ya brain"
v-act I like how it's "minimal" the whole way and it's really bouncy and energetic. Good stuff!
Bonkers4Life Damn! thanks for the links thumpa!

Also, where can i get some more mixes of this stuff?

Might feature a mix on a 7D in the future for this!
piumaki Hardfloor music is quite popular here in italy too specially in illegal raves and i think is a little bit different from Tribe or Hardtek. is faster and less, i dont how to explain it well, "acid/mental".

another good place to buy http://www.undergroundtekno.com/ owned by Narkotek guys

this a mix done by a friend of mine

ponder I don't claim to be an expert on the subject, but wasn't the term Hardfloor used going back to the early 90s?

I had this on some bootleg about 15 years ago. Was a variation of early Acid House, so I'm guessing it's just quietly progressed.
