Dj Mumbles (Canada) Uplifting Trance
www.Djmumbles.com

7D would like to welcome back its favorite Trance Dj, who will be doing something different this time around! This Toronto, Ontario based Dj has been in the music scene for years. Mumbles ran his own online record store and record label known as Mumbles Hip Hop Records from January 2003 to the end of 2008. The online store consisted of the sale of Hip Hop CDs, Vinyl, DVDs and gear. Mumbles Hip Hop Records also formed into a record label releasing a total of 8 releases on CD and Vinyl format which was also able to obtain worldwide distribution through FatBeats Distribution (NYC) and Crosstalk Chicago. Mumbles now currently runs a podcast called "Trancefixion" reaching listeners around the world playing a variety of Trance to Progressive House mixes. He also releases 2 mix series "Let's Play House" (Disco to Electro House) and "I Know You Got Soul" (Soulful House).

Echo Swift (Canada) Drum & Bass
School of Bass

Echo Swift has been known as one of the leading names in Ottawas Jungle/DNB scene since 2006. As he quickly built a name for himself in the Nations Capital, we have come to love his sets for their high energy, insane baselines, and impeccable mixing. With a huge presence on stage and an interaction with the crowd that cant be matched, Echo Swift is truly a hard-hitting, dance floor killer!

After becoming a resident DJ for Big Shovel Sound, KJ-613 and School of Bass, Echo Swift has been throwing down tunes nonstop. Having played alongside some of the top names in DNB such as The Panacea, Peter of NC-17, Jacky Murda, Marcus Visionary and many others, E-S is no one new to the scene. Whether its DnB, Dubstep, or even Electro, you dont want to miss this guy!

D-tor (USA) - Hardcore

D-tor got his first decks on his 15th birthday. He found Happy Hardcore through the collective efforts of the XM radio station BPM, the Trance DJ Mimi Taylor, S3RL, and YouTube. As soon as he heard Happy Hardcore, the rest is history. He is currently an 19 year old bedroom DJ. So you should book him.

Wyrd The Cat (Canada) Electro Breaks
Alien Witch Craft

Nicholas Folkins a.k.a Wyrd the Cat began DJing with Alien Witch Craft in 2009. It started out simple with a few friends hanging out and has been growing since then. He began DJing Happy Hardcore and Hard Dance but then found his love in Breaks. Wyrd the Cat then moved to Montreal where he and Drivebot started DJing with Fort Mangledash as resident DJ's. Now he is back in Ottawa to continue his DJ career and has no plan on slowing down.

DJ Daft (USA) - Hardcore
Wizard Crew/Invade Records

DJ Daft started out listening to hardcore when he found various tracks by Scott Brown, CLSM, Cube::Hard, and Gammer on YouTube studying for a test in high school. Immediately addicted to the sounds of hardcore, he purchased all three of Scott Browns Hardwired albums and began his obsession with UK Hardcore.

He practiced for 4 years and then won a mixing competition for Wizard Crews Technolust in 2010 and played 2nd stage at 11PM starting with a crowd of 5 and ending the set with the room filled. He has ever since pushed his limits and made his performances more interactive with the crowd, allowing the ravers to take control of the night, like the way it should be.

Currently Dafts passions led him to the position of lead promotions of Make Believe Records UK ran by Andy Dee of Devon, UK. The record specializes in quality UK Hardcore and Freeform releases featuring the talents of Fracus (UK), Cat Like Thief (UK), T2Kazuya (US) and much more.

In early 2012 Andy Dee announced the end of Make Believe, with the last release going to be out around Fall 2012. Daft has since joined Invade Records, founded by Drew Derivative who has had tunes featured on Bonkers 17: Rebooted and Crush on Hardcore 4, and also has collaborated with aussie hardcore legend Orbit1.
Now determined to change what a DJ should be doing for the crowd and not he, Daft is out to rule the Hard Dance scene of New England.

Pearsall (United Kingdom) Acid Techno

Pearsall is 31 years old, and has been mixing for 15 years. Although he is a native New Yorker, he has spent a good chunk of life in the UK, and it was in London as a teenager that he first discovered dance music. Starting out as a 16 year old jungle dj, over the years Pearsall has mixed many different styles, from dnb to house to dubstep to techno to the full spectrum of harder dance music - nu-nrg, hard trance, freeform hardcore, and, as you will hear on his mix for 7D, pure unadulterated acid mother****in' techno. When he was younger, he played gigs at all kinds of venues, from dingy London squat parties to clubs around the UK and even in the function room of a Finnish sauna (no lie), but he stopped playing gigs when he moved back to New York for a couple years in my early 20's, and even when Pearsall came back to London he never got back into it, so for the last four years Pearsall has just been having fun making new mixes and putting them on my website, Sonicrampage.org. Unlike, well, the overwhelming majority of other dj's, Pearsall stuck strictly to vinyl, so this, as with all of his mixes, is 100% vinyl. If you enjoy it, please check out Sonicrampage and download some of the other mixes, and read the essays he has written to accompany them.
Big thanks for 7D for giving me the chance to bash you over the head with some serious old skool 303 action - enjoy!

DJ ViperStar (Singapore) - Hardcore
Direct Hardcore Digital

DJ ViperStar was first introduced to the genre of UK Hardcore while browsing YouTube for music to listen to during his exam period and decided that was the genre he enjoyed a lot more than pop music on the local radio stations.

Initially starting out as only a listener that enjoyed the genre, a DJ that was playing pop music during his prom night (think S3RLs Press Play Walk Away) sparked off his passion to begin doing the DJ stuff himself instead.

After attempts at electro and other slow genres, he finally decided that he would go with the UK Hardcore genre and grabbed himself a copy of Virtual DJ to learn with. A couple of months later, he decided that he would ask for feedback from others to improve on the (virtual) mixing and started up a YouTube channel as DJ StarZ.

About 1 year down the road, he changed his DJ alias to DJ ViperStar as there was obviously too many StarZ around. Amazingly, the videos on the new YouTube channel received way more views than before, pushing out monthly mixes done using Virtual DJ and experimenting with the different effects and mappers.

Fast forward to 2012, he was finally able to afford his 1st setup after saving since the DJ StarZ time: CDJ-900s and a DJM-900nexus (it was a higher end setup as it would be difficult to sell off the lower end ones in a country where DJs are not exactly very plentiful) in February.

DJ ViperStar plays on both the KraftyRadio.com AustralAsian Invasion Show and the Digitally Imported Hardcore Radio (DI.FM Hardcore) Urban Hardcore Network. He also does the Bass Connection mix series with Australian MC Harlequin (ACT).

DJ ViperStar has joined Direct Hardcore Digital run by Ganar and his first release Ganar & ViperStar - Dusk Till Dawn will also be out on the Ganar Inspiration album in November.
