That light show is mind blowing..... U might wanna skip 2 mins in as first bit is just going in for the kill vocals then it drops!!!
I know it isn't hardcore but its hard and rave and tbh this shows the uk right up!
silver
Yeah Qdance know how to put on a show
jimmyhypa
Amazing !!!
latininxtc
Yup Europe certainly knows how to throw them.
Sadly Defqon1 and Decibel mostly cater to hardstyle, which I like listening to live but not so much on my own.
Here's Decibel's ShowMovie
There are at least 2 large events that mostly focus on gabber hardcore, and I'd really like to go to one of these two
Dominator
and Syndicate (which is the one I'd like to go to)
I wish UK hardcore had a much bigger following so it could have a better representation at these large events. Or if the scene was more organized and the producers and promoters more united to host a large event like these.

All of those clips are unbelievable.
The only outcome I can see for a UK Hardcore event of that size is total chaos. Wrong kind of boisterous crowd. An all day, multiple arena/tent festival kind of thing would be cool. UK Hardcore tent, Gabber tent, Freeform tent, Happy Hardcore tent etc.
Simon
I really should go to one of these, especially when I must only be a train-ride away!

It would attract crowds on this scale tho - even HTID can't manage it in Spain.....
_Jay_
It would, or it wouldn't?
I think you're saying it wouldn't. And I agree.

That's kind of the idea Jay lol
And it's certainly doable to attract that crowd for a UK hardcore event, although the thing is if they include gabber they can't skimp on the talent, even if they're costly. You need a bigname headliner in gabber. Something like this would definitely have to start small and build its way up.

lol, I know. But I mean real chaos. Too messy, too much potential for agro.
Maybe I'm being a bit cynical?
djDMS
No, I agree mate.
Crowds that size will inevitably lead to some kind of trouble.
Doesn't necessarily have to be a rave either. Went to see Robbie Williams with the missus the other week, 55000 crowd, saw loads of little outbreaks of trouble - and for a crowd consisting of mainly middle aged women that's surprising.
Saying that, the amount of hormones flying about would have been ginormous!
_Jay_
Ha ha! Madness!
Well jel, by the way. Used to like Robbie Williams. Only the stuff he used to write with (i.e. have written for him by) Guy Chambers.
latininxtc
lol robbie williams
The only songs I remember them ever playing here from him were millennium and Angel. And I think Angel was one incredible song. After those two, nothing.

Yeah, don't think he ever went down well over there.
I've got four or five of his albums, lol. I used to proper like it! I still like all his same songs that I used to.
This one from his Sing When You're Winning album has got a weird DnB type section at the end, with this uplifting vocals. Weird, but good! Have a listen:

Nothing remotely weird about it. I like the whole song actually.
And I think one of the reasons he didn't go so well here was his comments on boy bands and his experiences in it. he said it at the time when everyone was in love with them lol
So what's your favorite video from him, Jay? Rock DJ? ;)

Ha! That is a good one, but there's one he did with Kylie (she's one of my all time fave's!), so I'll go with that one.
Defqon.1 just released their aftermovie a couple of days ago
I still watch their endshow a lot. Whoever choreographed/coordinated all the lights, lasers, and pyrotechnics is a genius.
kathryn
Check out the light's at 5.37 onwards absolutely amazing

**** yeah Kebab Head! Q-dance events are on another level.. I went to Qore 3.0 at the heineken music hall and it totally blew my mind, unbelievable! I'd love to go to defqon1 and dominator, but most of my friends aren't into the real hard hardore like myself.
Dutch Hardcore FTW!

Haven't posted here in awhile! Defqon.1 ended this weekend and they just put up their annual endshow!
I have been to a some of these megaevent and I must say that I have not seen alot of trouble there (I have seen more in regular boring nightclubs). There is a festival in Germany called Nature One that is not only hard dance but really great. Last time I went there was around 65 000 people there and you could hear almost any type of electronic dance musikc played. It's the best party I have ever been to. The big endshows with fireworks and a voice sounding like a movie trailer is not my cup of tea so even if q-dance really knows how to organize stuff I prefer Germany. I have only been to one UK hardcore party in England and it was a small one in Manchester. I need to come over to hardcore underground or something soon =)

I've never heard of any issues at these type of events either, with the exception of Tomorrowland and Tomorrowworld. The last 2 Tomorrowlands (the one in Belgium) had a lot of people complain on social media about fights breaking out as well as a lot of theft. People were stealing stuff from people's tents when they weren't there.
And of course there was last year's disastrous Tomorrowworld (in the US) weather and transport situation that probably pretty much killed the entire event from ever coming back. The 2016 edition was announced as officially canceled earlier this year, and I just read that the company that organized the event is $300USD million in debt.
Golion
That's bad to hear :/ Fighting and stealing really should have no place in the dance music scene.

Last year's light show was better, but that stage was hideous.
But no endshow from 2015 beat Decibel's showmovie that was just fucking epic!
