Moriens Maybe my ears are just beat on this project but I cant tell if it sounds better as uk/happy/trancecore etc or at 150 bpm and more of a hard trance style track. Any thoughts?

Hardcoreish 170

Hard Tranceish 150bpm

If your undecided please lie to me and say hardcore =)
Warnman Well, it depends on what you're personally gaining for.

The faster version adds a lot of energy and pace into this, but for a good Freeform track it still misses something to my opinion.

The Hardtrance version does better fit to thesometimes dreamy atmosphere of the melody. The loss of the pumping energy makes it quite trancy and evan kind of relaxing, but I think that is Trance actually usually sounds like.

It's your decision what you want to do with your good work.
Moriens I agree with you 100%, and it is interesting to note how BPM changes things. I just need some fresh ears because Im at the stage where the self doubts hit. It def falls short of a true freeform track, I find myself trying to make some sort of "dreamcore", but the difficulty is making it sound like more than just sped up trance. Thinking more of ideas of Lead in front style hardcore with a high dose of atmospheres. Who knows, I guess its my rejection of making dubcore sounds, not that there is anything wrong with that though!
Samination As soon as I hear a hardcore/faster version of a track, I usually like the faster version. I don't see what Warnman means with "a lack of energy" though, because I've heard worse from actual Freeform producers. But I would still not class this as freeform.

And like I said, I like the 170 version :)
djchexmixer Both versions sound great to me. I definitely dig the 170, sounds really cool.
It's the type of song where I can close my eyes and imagine myself somewhere else. Relaxing, smooth, yet filled with so much energy. Great stuff!
Moriens Thanks for the feedback fellas, have a lot of tracks in this kinda fused genre coming together, hopefully have a EP style Download by years end for everyone to play with
