The Dopeman my mate singed an agreement with brighthouse last week for a laptop he's "leasing" for 2 years at 50 quid a month i just got a laptop from currys on the "buy now pay later" option it's only gonna cost 500 over a year but my mate has to pay around 1200 over 2 years for the same laptop (same make at least) I just got mine delivered yesterday and he singed up for the BH agreement last tuesday and phoned up yesterday to ask when he would be getting his laptop delivered and it turned out they hadn't even bothered to schedule the delivery until he phoned to find out after a member of staff had told him in store that they would phone him and let him know when they would be delivering the laptop

seems like i got a lucky break since i was gonna use BH to get one but decided not to anyone on here used BH or had any problems with them??
Shades bright house use bad or no credit scores to make money, bit like payday loan companies, extortionate rates

they rely on people that cant get credit anywhere else so have no choice but pay on their terms
djDMS I'd rather have nothing than buy stuff off people like them.
The Dopeman i've not got the greatest credit history but currys still allowed me to use buy now pay later so mine can't be as bad as i think it is i was tempted to get myself a PS4 from there but i'm sure i'll end up paying about 800-900 smackers for it lol seems like they're makin a shittonne of coin from people but **** paying 1200 over 2 years for a laptop you can't call your own for 2 years and if he can't afford it he's gonna lose all the money he paid towards it plus the laptop lol

pretty sad that money dictates everything humans do these days
Shades currys are just as bad....

back in the day i bought a snes (shows how long ago lmao), a TV & Car stereo on credit from currys, cost around ?500 all in all...

ended up paying them back over a grand & they still wanted another ?500 while interest was still being put on, due to late payments etc.....

i stopped paying them, in my eyes they had their money back plus another ?500 on top of that. after 7 years the dept was wiped, left me with bad credit though.

the interest rate was only 25% so i should of paid 750 back...... charges are the killer
The Dopeman i've never had a problem with them but then i've only ever bought a tv & the laptop from them only niggle i had is when i bought the tv they wouldn't let me pay it off early can't remember why though think it would have cost me a bit more

really just wanted to find out if it was worth signing up with BH since i really want a PS4 but had a look at a few reviews n they don't seem to be all good guess i'll have to scrimp n save...anyone got any helpful tips lol
scottyd2k9 I would never pay monthly for anything. I even bought my iphone on pay as you go. And i'm on the giffgaff network wich is amazing...

Would never even think of going to bright house. Would rather get things out of a skip :D

lol @ that
latininxtc Are these for lease to own, or are you just renting them? Either way its a ridiculous ripoff. With the price of laptops being so much lower these days you could afford to buy 2 for the amt you're leasing them at including interest.
The Dopeman he's leasing it for 2 years at 50quid a month i'm paying 499 for mine after a year i worked out that my mate will pay a bit over 1200 he won't own it for 2 years or until he pays the full amount thats what i got from the agreement he showed me if he falls behind he has 3 days to make a payment or people will come and take the laptop from him he tried to get me to sign up just to get 50 off lol but i have to get into an agreement to n after seeing their prices i just had to laugh at him i'd sooner tie a boulder to my feet n jump off the forth road bridge i can save 500 over a year with a bit off cutbacks on unnecessary things easy but fcuk paying 50 a month for 2 years

he still hasn't gotten his laptop yet n thats been nearly a week
Jonny Rich I got a few things off brighthouse like a t.v laptop and stereo and moved house and stopped paying for them... in other words i ripped them off needed to be done cba paying for 10+ years
