Shinxy Anybody know of any raves going on in either the Boston or Seattle areas? I've been out of it for a while and know bugger all about local scene happenings.

DJ Tempest seattle and boston are quite a ways away from each other..where do you live exactly? as far as boston goes, i know theres a dcraves mailing list..seattle, i can help you with that..or you can wade thru all the drama at http://www.nwtekno.org/board
feel free to icq or email me.

Soren In my very very humble oppinion there are no good raves in Boston or the surrounding areas. the sceen in Bsoton 3 years ago when i moved here was very dark and crappy compared to the west coast and it's getting worse. The parties names latley have been reflecting this quite nicely with parties like "Nightmare", "Overdose", and "Darkness". This place is killing my will to rave and many of my firends are quitting also. Stay away!!! I will be moving ASAP! ^_^

DJ Tempest heh..does entropy have anything to do with the downfall of the scene? heh..nah i dont believe it for a minute... < / sarcasm >

Shinxy Hrm... probably the dark mood in the Boston scene has more to do with the local vibe. New England in general tends to be pretty uptight and cerebral compared to say Cali, especially with the ivy league scene around. Raves have such a negative rep around here (especially compared to clubs and bars, which have the far more destructive booze vibe...) and are regulated so much, ravers can't help but be a wee bit bitter. Sad fact of the scene... I hope someone can spread the joy up to that neck of the woods.

Anyway, my deal is, I live in Boston, but I vacation in Seattle. I'm gonna be in Seattle until August... I'm probably going to be busy for a good deal, but if I can find one really great party in Seattle to plan around, I'll be happy. I'll look in Nwtekno, thanx Tempest...

Emily i haven't been to boston, but from what i hear, up there in new england there is more of a happy hardcore following than other places on the east coast. they've had quite a few decent djs up there. i dunno what parties are like tho.
