I have recently had a couple of House mixes taken down as soon as they were uploaded onto my Soundcloud page due to copyright infringement. I know it's down to the tracks I have used but it's so frustrating. Has this happened to anyone else?
I've read on various websites discussing this that if I add a 10-20 second intro it may not be taken down, does anybody know if this works?
Any other suggestions?
I am also on Mixcloud but it has nowhere near the numbers of Soundcloud.

it's new, because Soundcloud is trying to get into deals with the bigger labels so they are "forced" to do it.
I'm not sure how it works, but I dont think it's as advanced as the youtube one which can recognise more than 1 track |

It happened to me about 2 weeks ago. I wasn't allowed to have Da Tweekaz - Your Love in my mix. It's really annoying. |

does it only check new uploads? |

Could end up losing a fair number of users because of this.

I doubt it, there miles ahead of the competition, both in traction and technology. |

If only.
Listeners outnumber producers, and considering that their target audience has long since shifted to the former, I doubt they will. |

I've gotten my Zedd - Clarity remix taken down from those moneybots - I still have the t&c from the pack.
It said that it became their property only if I submitted my remix into their contest - which I never did! So they had no right to take it down. Of course they care listen though. |

Yeah, fair point. I was just thinking from the perspective of bedroom DJs getting seriously fcuked off with repeatedly having their mixes removed. That's the sole reason some people have a SoundCloud account - so those particular guys might piss off to MixCloud or something. Like you say, though, I guess that's not a percentage that would worry SoundCloud too much.

If only Mixcloud would allow for downloads again |

Oh do they not? That's lame. Could always chuck a MediaFire link I'm the description I guess.
What other similar sites are there?

I know of DJFez and Mixcrate. I know that Beatpotr and Trackitdown has "dj profiles" but not sure they have uploads. I know IMORecords had |
