The DJ Tools series is such a great, simple idea for getting tracks out there. I would imagine the artists make a smidge more money per track as well, maybe?

More money per track? Depends who you are, and what the track is.
Something like Heavyweight would probably do ~ 1000 units digitally, whereas we're trading for 450 or so physical sales with digital down the line. So a huge track might actually take a hit on this model.
The reasoning? Every track on DJ Tools makes the same. If a new artist, or less active artist, features on DJ Tools then it's bound to be leaps and bounds ahead of a standard digital release in every sense (sales/exposure/revenue)
Which, brilliantly, brings back the thing I actually liked from viny;; the A/AA side. The more obvious track being used to sell the potentially more interesting one.
I'm very happy with this DJ Tools, and I hope that we get more engagement from up and coming artists for both the compilation series *and* DJ Tools. It's there for them!

Yeah hasta manana is awesome!  but not sure I will get this, i'm not a dj and I think I have most of the tracks on a hu release anyway so I might just have to pass |
