Missingno It has been several years since Stompin Choonz released digitally the entire (or almost entire) catalogue of their releases. However, I miss two important tracks of these releases (in fact, my two favourite ones from that label).

One of them is Adem - Saviour, where, instead of releasing the version that was formerly released in vinyl, they used the version that was released in compilations, which IMHO is light years away from the vinyl version, being the former version much better than the one used in compilations and later released digitally.

The other one is Helix - U R Everything (Ham Remix), where again the vinyl version was neglected when the digital release came out, selling instead a different version which was previously released in the CD-Maxi release from Netherlands. Like in the previous case, IMHO the latter one does not stand a chance with the former one.

So, the scope of this topic is about asking whether someone knows how to contact the producers hoping for their willingness to sell me the digital masters. Previously, I did two attemps, failing in both cases:

- Contacting directly the staff from the Stompin Choonz label, where they did not even understand what I was trying to ask for. I guess it was because the person who replied me by mail was not used with affairs involving the releases themselves, but rather solving general download issues.

- Contacting Emma Louise Finch-Turner, the singer of Adem - Saviour. She was very nice with me, but sadly did not keep any digital copy of the song.

Taking into account these precedents, I guess it is going to be very difficult, if not impossible, to get my hands on the digital master of Adem - Saviour, but perhaps there is still some vague possibility with Helix - U R Everything (Ham Remix). As far as I know, it seems that DJ Ham was selling some digital tracks some time ago, but I don't know whether the aforementioned track was included in the bundle. In any case, does somebody know how can I get in touch with him?
Samination When it comes to Saviour, it seems like our Triquatra has also asked about it:

It appears most versions you can find are sourced from Just Another Label. I dont remember if the versions that appeared on NuEnergy's own store where different (since I didnt buy any of those 2 tracks).
Triquatra Yep, I can't add much more to it other than that I emailed Ola, who I understand was running much of it back then:

"Had a look around and the one online is the only one available"

So what I took from that, is that it probably does exist somewhere...but that it hasn't been transferred.
The two other people to talk to would be

https://www.discogs.com/artist/610604-Adam-McEvoy
and perhaps Matt Carlton.

I stopped trying after my small effort of looking for it, only because my vinyl rip is beautifully clean and sounds great.

Sure it'd be nce to have digital as that version of Saviour is up there with the best tracks off Stompin Choonz.
Best of luck!
Missingno Thanks for the suggestions! Actually, back then I also wanted to contact Adam McEvoy or Matt Carlton, but sadly I got no way to get in touch with them. The only person I could find on Facebook at that time was Emma Finch-Turner, who, as stated above, sadly didn't keep the digital masters.
DJIntensity Always thought the Helix tune U R Everything was from Just Another Label.

Well, Stompin was either run or co-runned by JAL after all
Triquatra Yarp, from my understanding everything was basically under the Stage One parent company
JAL, JALP, Stompin, XY2, Clued blah blah blah

DJIntensity I looked up the tune on Discogs and it says the label is Devil Records with various mixes which released in 1997.
CDJay I'm almost over how I was treated, and may try to rescue and restore this and associated catalogues this year.

DJIntensity Very confusing to say the least.

Do you mean rescuing and ripping the DAT tapes containing the digital masters of these Stompin Choonz tracks, among others? If you do that I will praise you as a hero, although I already consider you a hero for your hard work recovering the Sharkey's old catalogue.
9oh9 That non-vinyl version of UR Everything (Ham remix) is an strange one. It sounds really close to the original, and not like other stuff Ham was doing at the time :-\
