How much do u think the 'til the day record and cd versions will cost

thanks again

i wanna rave all,all night with you! Say what?

DJ Mouse it ain't a good idea to commercialise hardcore, look what happened to uk garage.ruined after it was commercialised. we wouldn't want that to happen to hardcore now would we?

DJ Mouse In Da House!!!
NightSoul hardcore - happy hardcore going commercial - that day will never happen - and thats a good thing - the charts will just destroy the music that is *real* music - just look at the charts at the mo - see what i mean? -

Brian K i was officially introduced to hhc when i was a foreign exchange student over in holland back in 94. i had been listening to hardcore for a couple years before going there but it was all just classified as "rave" music before that =P

"do not dream, you dreamed about me"
NightSoul in the early 90's 91-92 was the best time for rave music to hit the charts - the most weird one of all was *sesame's street smart-e's* that track just messed with ya - and thats a good thing -

i go to my first rave in 1993 because those cds .
i knew nothing about that actualy and i go . on the party they play hardcore.
but on houseparty 8 mixed by the dreamteam was the track bass x - hardcore disco that was the first track i called happy hardcore.

but the prodigy stuff and breakbeat sl2 and acen i called house.

You can't see me,because i am the future.
Nick of Blaze! I was a late comer to HH. It was when Luna C and Mr Tom came round to my flat cos they wanted to hire my studio... (studio...Ha! hark at me.... keyboard sampler and a 4 track!)

That was in 1991....

They said.. "Have you heard of Harcore...?" I said "nope!"....

They then asked me to sample a few beats, and write a few riffs....and they began to learn about the studio, how it works and what they could and couldnt do.

I, in turn, learned a whole new scene. They'd play me something and say... "a piano part....something like this"

We went on and produced the first track which I think was F*uck the law, and Bogus Adventure....

when I heard the final version I was hooked and bought every HH compilation I could find. We then went on to do sesame's treet and loos control and a whole album for the USA.

That's how I got into hardcore.... and it's been my favourite genre ever since.

As my Blaze! co-writer, Chris, said recently to someone when they asked why I still bother with hardcore..."You can take the boy out of Hardcore, but you'll never take the Hardcore out of the boy!"

I like that!

cheers

Nick

Brian K i stayed a year in Vorden, not sure if you've heard of the town or not. it's like 10 minutes away from the border of germany.
yes i did get to experience a couple dutch raves, all were well wicked i might add =) got to see bass d & king matthew, buzz fuzz, prophet (i think i saw most of the dream team) and i think it was lenny dee but i wasn't sure because i didn't know any of those people =P
it was funny because everyone over there was dressed like they were going to a club over here, no one looked like state side ravers =P
it was there in holland that i also got to experience my first hang over at the precious age of 16 =P
Can't wait to go back to the netherlands again, it was so nice not having to depend on a car to get from place to place. My host family got me a bike from the police station and that was pretty much my transportation, well that and the train system.

"do not dream, you dreamed about me"
DJ Pathfinder state side raver ?

what do you mean with that.

You can't see me,because i am the future.
Brian K a raver from the united states, you know phat pants and dressed up like your stereo typical raver =)

"do not dream, you dreamed about me"
Oli G I got introduced to hardcore when a friend of mine brought a cd round.. i made a tape of it.. and played it till it wore out
then got another tape
played it till it wore out
then bought a tape pack

then i went thru my confused months.. where i still liked hardcore but i had bought my decks and was playing trance *cringe*.. i then ditched that moved on to some hardhouse (sheep i hear u cry...well no actualy, i moved before the crowd)...

at that point i was still listning to hardcore but didnt htink you could get it on vinyl any more

and then uh oh... i found some :)

and have been in debt since i found imo records (damn them to hell... kind of :D)

but ive always loved hardcore since i was about 13.. im now 18
and i didnt start ravin till last slammin vinyl... but **** ive missed out

RaverBaby69 i first started getting into it when i was around 10/11, my m8s brother used to play it when we went round to their house and ive luved it ever since. I think nearly everyone in stafford knows what hhc is and has sum of it becoz lots of ppl are into it at school but thats coz us lot in doxey brought it into our schools! lol

Hey Smokey I know u don't smoke weed but i'm gonna make u high 2nite coz its friday, u ain't got no job and u aint got s*it to do!
Tyrant i don't listen to hhc ;)

History will be kind to me, for I intend to write it -- Sir Winston Churchill
dj mannik when i was a wee youngin' i heard seasame's treat on the radio, that got me into electonic music, i eventually started listenin to jungle on late night radio, and a friend from school sent me some rave related sites and i found hhc from there

Hehehehe yeah thats right.....

Cat No. 7-14223-2

Mate, now I feel really old..... Theres a track on there called Beautiful Noises, it was a total p*ss take, but you wouldn't believe how many people took it seriously.

And somewhere in the USA, it gets played twice a year, every year... I haven't a clue on what program or radio station, cos I only see the royalty reference, but someone actually BROADCASTS it...

LOL

have a great day!

Nick

PS... My favourite track on there's Apollo. When we did that live the place used to go berserk.... and yet it never made it onto vinyl. Shame that.

you, me and hardcore forever.
DJ Mouse how many copies are being pressed silver?

DJ Mouse In Da House!!!
Lixx Silver have you contacted Phusion or SSU (or even majestic) about having TTD available in the US? UK shipping rates are extremely painful to my wallet :( Oh, and I live 20 mins away from SSU hehe
-Lixx

silver As always the first press will be limited, depending on sales will depend on pressing more (should not be a problem)...

If anyone is interested in buying stock of MasterWax or this record please get those people in contact with me [email protected]

you, me and hardcore forever.
Lixx I'll pass this on to smileshot and simon apex then. Would it be cheaper for me to get it straight from you? I got (am getting) raindance 1 straight from storm pretty cheap, but you never mentioned this as an option. I'd love to be the first one in the northern cali to get this. Oooh the bragging rights... If this is an option just tell me and we'll make arrangements by email. Thanks
-Lixx (now I'm giddy!)

Elation i first heard what i was lookin for one day when i was at work and a co-worker put on a hardcore tape...and i was like...gack!!! and a hundred questions later, with no help, cause he copied it off his buddy. so i was like crap. where am i gonna get this stuff. i was able to find some tapes and scrounge up a couple of CD's.

then some time later. i took a trip to Ireland (my sweet homeland) and found lots, obviously. my first hardcore record was bought in 1995. in 1996 i moved to Toronto and hooked up with Jamie. my mentor. he had decks and a s**t load of happy tunes. i was in (hardcore) heaven.lol.

from there, i practiced whenever i could get my hands on his decks. i also started meeting new ppl with decks as well, so i was starting to learn quite a bit. i actually didnt even get my own pitch control decks, untill like 2 and a half years ago.

so thats my wee story.

(:(:4BEAT 4EVER:):)
meOw Some online friends got me into it... I'd been in love with techno for awhile, but then they were talking about happy hardcore and how cool it was, so I decided to check it out!

REVOLVER DOG I got into it through my brother.
Dunno how he got into it though.

I dont want to be the one,
The one whos allways left behind,
Will their ever come a day,
When i can turn around & say,
Its allright now,
Its allright now yeah yeah,
Its allright now!!
SINIZTA i had just listened 2 punk and hip-hop mainly!but hip-hop made me
interested n beatz,so i started getting n 2 electronica!then 1 day my
friend who knew more about the muzik than i did, said let's go some
get hardcore!next thing i know were listening 2 HHC chap #3 +#4!
after the 1st couple of trax i knew i was hooked!i had a steady bass
line n my head 4 like the next whole week!!!!!

" Da Symnotic SINIZTA"
Charco i started in 92/93, then heard a song at a school disco and have listened to it non-stop, although i lost loads of tizer/paddyfrazer tapes, which i cant find ANYWHERE!!!!!

freedom to all who believe!!
ket Man! you guys are making me feel such a newbie! I just found Happy Hardcore last year when I was looking at mp3.com for electronica and stumbled upon duppy, and I was like wtf!!! this stuff r0x0rs!! I then found phosphor and was like omfg, spoot! and I've been loving it ever since :) Although I haven't found and HHC compilations at stores though, I've only got two original cd's, both of which I sent off to phosphor for... :)

Soren Yo Yo, I gots involved in that HHC stuff like way late, like in '88, like before it existed yo'. Like i was 6 and my "friend, brother, mom" was jammin out, and I was like YO' I be down with the underground!

I love these types of posts cause no one ever got "involved" with raves, liquid, hhc later than '92. Now im just a jaded biznatch so ignore all that I say, but I find it funny that i started raving in '95 and out of 100's of people i've known only like 2-3 are still even going to like 1 rave per year and no one really cares too much about raves/music anymore.... But no one ever started raving after '92.

Again, I just a big jaded dick, but i'm pretty sick of meeting ppls at raves that have been "going to raves since '91" and "love dancing" and are there taking like 4 pills and they have no clue how to dance and are full of S&#T.

(this concludes Soren's daily "im a pisssed off, jaded, bitch raver" rant of the day)

^_^

DJ Pathfinder in 88 there was no hh
on the earliest 90,91 but that was breakbeat with piano.

You can't see me,because i am the future.
djtate when i was about 13 or 14 i brought a cd then my boyfriend i met was into hardcore so i started listening to tapes and they are much better than Cds i then went to a rave.

Like Micheal Jackson I 'm a lyrical thriller Jack Nickloson I 'm a hardcore killer like Peter Pan iam the boy who can fly like a 747 right up to the sky
MC RizlaDizla I was listning to old skool from about 92. I heard my first hhc tape in 95/96. I couldn't get hold of anymore till 97 when my m8 gave me a best of british happy hardcore cd by fusion. This was mixed by sy and unknown and was the nuts. It had choons like Pretty green eyes and setting you free.

"Oh my goodness, Oh my Gosh. Here we go with a badboy rush."
"Oh my goodness gracious me, Badboy Dj, Wikkid Mc."
silver ket: make sure you purchase the phosphor remix of 'til the day :)

tommo I got into happy hardcore a few months ago.....we were at my mates house, there were about 25 of us in his front room and this kid called moody brought the slammin' vinyl hardcore 12 pack live at the sanctuary he put sy on,we listened to the tape 3 times over.I thought it was great so I borrowed the set from him. After that I was hooked.....and I downloaded a shitload of songs and live performances from audiogalaxy and here I am.Not bad for a first post eh?

tommo-living proof that newbies kick ass.
xxhappyxx it was after this company 'ultra vegas' came 2 a few clubs in my area, n mainly hard house was played, bt a little happy hardcore was 2, n every1 was like wow happyhardcore! bt then that kinda died down after a few months n every1 went bk to their hard house/trance bt i was still like, yay hhc! n i still love the music just as much!

'come fly my child 2 a special place, with angels in the sky, the time has come 2 fly!'
theraver I heard a friend of mine talking a bout it so i just decited 2 join 2 c how it was and till now its been aight
dj tricks e I got into hardcore when i was about 12 some mate took a tape into school but i cant remember what it was but ive been into it ever since and i have got to that stage of when people think of me they think of hardcore which is not suprising to me.

I was walking through the jungle with the mic in me hand I said oh hardcore raver I'm the king of the land. Looked in a tree, what did I see. Every mother ****a on XTC
ket Alright! I have a job, got into uni and got my provisionals... all in a week... now I can get the Til the day thingamybobs... just gotta find out how to :P
FinnHawk Thru Freeform (ie. Trancecore)

I'm not actually a big fan of most Happycore... Too cheesy and formulaic for me... But now that I've starting spinning Freeform, I've started looking for quality Happycore tracks from the trancier side of Happycore... I prefer stuff without vocals or pianos, but then that barely makes it Happycore anymore, right? I also do enjoy the oldskool Happycore/Jungle that uses BOTH 4-4 beat AND a jungle breakbeats.

Freeform/Trancecore is the future of Hardcore, IMO!

Peace,

Sal

HaPPy i LuV Da HaRdCorE Soz to dig up old post but thought id let u all know how....
My big sis used to pump it out of her room and i was bout 11 and would jump round to it and from then on Ive loved the stuff.

-=Im floating through the galaxy, all the stars in front of me=-
AndreeaFunks i got into the rave scene when i started going out to with a raver in disguise. He never really told me the music he was into but for new yr 2001 he invited me to Love Nation a rave in sydney

When he came to pick me up he was all colourful ahaha his hair blue!
The night was amazing i got my first taste of happy hard and loved it, and also i loved the ppl i accidently spilt water on this rough looking guy and expected hell to break loose
instead he jus smiled and told me it was cool

I'm having de ja vu and amnesia at the same time!! I think I've forgotten this before
farchid Well, i first got into rave when i was on holiday in magolouf.
I had just woke up the night after clubs and switched some foreign mtv channel, and i rememberd this song that came on probably from the night before,(posse i need you on the floor by scooter) so i went out and baught their album. That was me into rave

Next i was on the phone to a mate who was listening to n-trance - set you free, i just had to steal it and from her and from then on i have been searching toroughout evrywhere to find more happy hardcore.

jaxworld85 sorry guys but i have to tell my story because i reckon its nothing less than inspirational i'll try to keep it short tho:

first of all commercialising any music makes it shit anytone who knows anything beyond mainsream music knows that.

anyway until 5 months ago (oct 2001) i was into a lot of rock and punk music and i picked out a lot of bands numerous months and even years before they hit the charts (i discovered bands like korn, linkin park, deftones, sum41, even blink182 before they surfaced to the public). i thought of myself as a music guru but i was sick as hell of my music being commercialised and corrupted but as far as ANY electronica went i dissed it as shit that was made on computers and required no talent watsoever. now i like getting drunk and i hate weed, but it was this time 5 months ago when a frend of mine at a small time club handed me a small tablet (i think we all know what i'm talking about) and says 'eat'. i had wanted to try it for ages and it was unreal! i've been keeping control of it because the feeling is ****in addictive, but since then i was at godspeed3 in sydney and saw scott brown and hixxy play and they were ****in awesome.

this story gets really complex and im sure all of u have experienced it, so i'll keep it compacted. since that night 5 months ago my mind had expanded, i dont diss any music, my mind is open to any new style of music. i still like my old music, i still hate most rap, i started to shift a bit towards uk garage and 2step, and a bit of trance, but even tho i have expanded my interests i have found the best music i have ever known, happy hard and hard nrg. thank you for listening to me ramble on, i know this has meant nothing to you, but it means the world to me...

fat boy slim when asked what was the best thing he'd ever done in his life replied: 'my first roll'...

-amen

HaRdCoReWiLLnEvErDiE I've only been listening to Happycore for about 2 years, because like meny people my age I started mixing trance and house at about 14. I got handed an old dougal/brisk fusion tape in '99 and i've been hooked ever since :)

HaRdCoReWiLLnEvErDiE
DJ Marshell Trying to think back on how I started liking HHC...

It could of been at my first rave, Pretty sure of it. Bout 3-4 years ago here in NEW MEXICO, I got this flyer from a friend who was a DJ, Me being all punked out went anyway since I heard all the stuff that goes on at raves not really knowing anything about it.

I went in, Not knowing anyone, I was felling all left out and stuff, And there it was, Happy Hardcore, The beat pretty much drew me in, When the day was over, I was angree cause it was all over, I could not wait until the next week where another party was going on.

Since that day, I totaly forgot about my old music and only listen to Electronix now, Nothin else, Just recently I started spinning HHC.

CALL ME BUNS
Skeenip I remember listening to hardcore a couple of years back in the early/mid nineties. I didn't know what it was back then, but i knew i liked it. Then for a while i couldn't get my hands on it and cause I didn't know what to look for it kinda just faded from my interest. Then in 99 my friends took me to a rave and I got back into it full throtle.

"Death to all boy bands...."
DJ CURLY I First Got Into Happy Hardcore In About 96 I Used To Always Hang About With My Cousin Who Used To Listen To It And Back Then I Didnt Really Like It But Now Im Old Enough To Go To Raves I Got Back Into It A Couple Of Years Ago And Buy About 5 Tape Packs A Year If I Can.
