A few of us in #hardcore, the happyhardcore.com chatroom are planning a camping trip, most likely on Shell Island, North Wales, It will be for a few days, with lots of beer and stuff.
We have no idea of a date yet, but it will be this year, and it will be great fun, all you will need really is alcohol, a sleeping back, money for arcades and more alcohol, oh and food.
If you would like to go, please notify us here and if you have a tent and how many it sleeps, so we can get it all organised early on and me or Hard2Get will keep you updated. Thank you. :D

I don't know why no one thought of this before, it's such a good idea :)
I think it's the perfect opportunity to get to know some people properly, it's not always easy to do that at raves, because of the loud music, and the raving :)
If your up for it, don't worry about knowing us well or not, it really dosn't matter, just come anyway :)

Travel - The village of Llanbedr, which is right near Shell Island has a train station, for those getting the train, or however you are travelling, thats the place we will meet up, or if your training it then we meet at Birmingham New Street, providing you go through that station.

Yeh £6 per person, per night, so its gonna be £18 and you can use all the facilities, shower block etc. Really really cheap :)

uhhhh........i'm in a spot of technical difficulty here. When i say technical difficulty, what a really mean more specifically is financial difficulty 
i basically have NO money at all from my wages. after paying rent, and affording myself a couple of nights getting rat arsed, the money situation kinda got away from me and i am now skint.
This is not me saying i won't come, this is me saying la mierda has hit the fan and i'll do my best.
what i will ask is those of you that have fully arranged everything for yourselves, if you could give me a total cost of what it takes to get into this, and since i'm a lazy bastard (plus an internet invalid) if any of you lovely, lovely people wanna check out prices between London (any station) and wherever-the-hell this place is, and add it on to the other costs you've covered for, well; i'd marry ya. or at least give you a hearty hand shake and buy you a few drinks.
Anyway yes so that's the situation. if i can get this total cost sorted before long then i will scour my resources and muster up the neccessary amount.

since i just posted i thought it best to put the important news on here regarding the trip...
i officially hate my pub now. THREE weeks ago (a fornight before the needed amount of time) i alerted the entire managerial contingent of the place that i wanted the 27th to the 29th off and was told that this was absolutely fine since i told them so well in advance.
i've just this evening checked the rota and oh deary fudging me, the pub and put me working on each of these days. WHAT A BUNCH OF.......undesirable characters of whom indulge in certain extra curricular activities (i.e. starts with a w, ends with an s and has anker in the middle....)
i'm most aggravated with this, but hopefully, and i do mean hopefully i can get someone to cover for me. damn i'm pisisted off about this though.. |

Its in a campsite near Shell Island, I rang them up and they said there full, but another campsite - Hendy Farm House just near has got space for us, and its cheaper, its £7 a tent per night. So still go to the same place - Llanbedr.

I know your weren't asking me, but for those are are going by train, you do have a choice to go to Birmingham if you weren't already (it would be that or Wolverhamton, more likely to be Birmingham though), just buy one whole ticket for Llanbedr, then you will be able to go via Birmingham (me, K-Hole and Pixiesticks will be at Birmingham, which is why it is best to go via that station), and it will also be cheaper than buying seperate tickets :) |

ok gents and ladies ladies and gents i have some good news and some bad news.
the good news is, i had a little tet a tet with the management at work and after a couple of words it was simple enough they said it was only fair i got the weekend off i booked and deserved!
the bad news is however two things...
1) i have basically, NO money at all. i have a tenner in my account. i have no idea how i'm gonna raise 80 quid plus by the alotted time but i'll try whatever i can.
2) if i do get to come down, i've unfortunately overlooked sorting out my tent because i've been so preoccupied with gettin the space. now i really am now bothered if i sleep outside a tent, i can use a floor mat and put up a poncho, that's no prob to me, but still, if someone hasw a space if i manage to come down, that'd be VERY much appreciated.
so yea, thats the update, i CAN come, but the main thing i need to sort out is money.
another spot of good news i've just thought of though, is tonight at midnight, my wages go into my account. the problem is i'm not sure that will be enough where the pub recently cut down my hours...drastically.
i'll try and borrow some from my folks and try and get what i'm owed back from my twat of a brother.
Will do my best though folks, i've been kicking some arse to try and get down for this trip, the world and his wife know i have been!

What a weekend is about all i can say jus now, am bck from jesters and in muchos need of sleep.
Your all lovely people would be defo up for future trips and add some more recruits to the crispouss crew  .
Will do a proper post tomorrow after i've had a rest but jus to say how glad i am to have met everyone that could make it and gutted for those who couldnt get there, will hopefully hook up again in near future. |
