I found happyhardcore with google. And as you say happyhardcore is not very famous, at least in my city, Bogota, almost everybody hates happyhardcore. Thats the reason why I have to search on the net.
it is sad but is true. So if any of you can help me whit information about where happy hardcore comes (by the way what is an MC.)what it is about and EVERITHING else. I would gladly say thanks.
I have no one to help me in my city but I really start to like Happy hardcore
and would like to know more.
And you dont say columbian, you say spanish

Hardcore started in the late 80's in England and the majority of it is still produced here. Happy Hardcore really kicked off in 1996 (which most would say was the best year) with DJs such as...
Hixxy
Dougal
Vibes
Sy
Brisk
Seduction
Vinylgroover
Slipmatt
.... and more or less died in 2000 because producers had run out of original ideas by then.
If you want a good idea of Happy Hardcore then have a listen to these tracks:
Bang! - Hyperspace (not sure what year - 1996 / 1997?)
Brisk & Trixxy - Goodbye Summertime (2000)
Brisk & Vinylgroover - Rain Fall Down (1998)
DJ Brisk - Airhead (1996)
DJ Chewy - Rock Dis Place (1996)
DJ Demo - Muzik (1996)
DJ Energy - Hardcore Fever (1996)
DJ Ham - Is Anybody out There (1996)
DJ Hixxy - Ha Ha Ha (1996)
DJ SEduction - Step To The Side (1996)
DJ Vinylgroover - Time (1996)
Dougal & Eruption - Party Time (1996)
Dougal & Seduction - It's Not Over (1996)
E-Logic - Run To Me (2000)
Force & Styles - Heart Of Gold (1996)
Force & Styles - Shining Down (1996)
Ham & DNA - About U (2000)
Ham, Demo & Justin Time - Here I Am (1996)
JDS - Higher Love (1996)
Rapido - Insomniak (1996)
Scott Brown - Now Is The Time (1996)
Slipmatt & Eruption - SUnshine (1996)
Vinylgroover & Trixxy - Need Your Loving (not sure what year)

Amber Jade said HHC more or less died in 2000. Does it mean HHC is going down?
|
Amber-Jade |
"Going down"? Well it's still being produced but it's changed from original Happy Hardcore with hardly any piano riffs being used anymore (I personally don't like any HH from after 2000). I think that a lot of original HH fans have reverted to other styles of music such as Trance and Hard House... (HH sounds similar to Hard House now anyway).
Bring back the old skool!

due to the recent old skool re-boom of "back to the old skool" CDs etc., does anyone think the same as me, and soon a happy hardcore compilation (the new bonkers maby) could have the same effect as the recent old skool trend and re-launch happy hardcore??
i noticed that the Prodigy's new track "baby's got a temper" sounds like a cross between most of the content on their "Fat of the land" album and some of their older tracks, such as "what evil lurks" and such. Could this happen to some happy hardcore?? old tracks slightly re-worked and given a different feel?? anybody got any comments on what effect of Flip & Fill releasing "Shooting Star" will have on happy hardcore??
"Thats not a BONG it's for my SLONG!" |
Amber-Jade |
Err, I don't think that old tracks should be reworked, it should be the other way around - so that new tracks sound like the old style. If they went back to the old style it might all kick off again since most electronic genres seem to be going a bit stale.
I haven't heard the Flip n Fill edit but I would imagine that it's crap and I think that they're going the wrong way about revamping HH. Having said that I don't think the original Shooting Star was brilliant, I personally like the old skool tunes like Dougal & Seduction - It's Not Over...
