You have a Hardcore record that isnt in the Record Database? Send the info to me, and i'll add it.
First:
-The record has to be commercially released (is or has been available to buy from record stores).
-The record has to be a Hardcore record. But if its a non Hardcore single, that has a Hardcore remix etc, i'll add it.
-You have to have the record yourself. Dont just crab the info from another website, you have to check before sending, that the info is 100% correct.
The info i need:
-Catalogue Number (exactly as it is stated in the record)
-Label Name
-Release Name
-Release format (12" single, EP, CDsingle, compilation, album etc)
-Complete tracklist, like that: 1. Artist - Track (Remix)
-On vinyl releases, if its A and B, or A and AA etc
Optional info:
-Cover scans (i will resize them to about 250x250)
-Release date, like that: DD.MM.YYYY
-Artist / label website urls (add them to the links section, and inform me about it). Also artist / label pictures, countrys etc.

OK, need help from Makina people, just used a lot of time adding Makina Killers CD to the DB *edit* and DJ Makina 4, check that link and try to spot if there are errors in the artist names. I added 36 50 new artists and need to know if their correct. Also a lot of the tracks had "Alkhemiens present" in the artist entry, is Alkhemiens an artist? Should i add it too to the tracklist? Oh and is e.g. "Pure Vitamine Vol. 2" really an artist? Are those "bass tracks" and cause of that they dont have proper names?

pretty much all my makinas on vinyl but i have a couple old cd's and when i get time i'l try write up a list of diff vinyl i have, but theres that much could take a while  gotta love the spanish. Have to agree with jamie aswell bout hardstyle/ hard trance been the business these days hardstyle fot the stompin and hard trance for the dam amazin production, also tryin to buy a few chilled trancey numbers for after rave sesh's need a bit of variety aswell as my bouncy stuff. Turns out Al-khemie is jus the studio that dj buenri and cesar work from as the alkhemians and whoever there guest is gets mentioned in the release. Dont no for sure but i reckon it's probs the other artists tracks but they go to al-khemie to be given the x-que polishin touches by cesar and co. As i said though dont take my word on that jus my guess after checkin through my records.

Ok I've checked them for errors, there were quite a few actually, sorry about that, it's understandable that you want them right. I've removed the second posting for now as that was a mess really. :)

Yes it is released, but not in the format that we add to the DB at the moment, i will add mp3's as soon as i get green light from Silver and get the rules to them.

Yes, but the DB system is old, it doesnt have digital formats listed, and more importantly just because someone farts to a mic 180 bpm, i'm not gonna add it to the DB. There are so many places to sell your tracks without any limits of quality, that we have to have some sort of system before i can start adding them. Those are few of the things that need to be solved before i can start adding.
Its not like i dont want to add them, or that i dont see them as proper releases. Its just that theres few things we need to sort out before i can start adding them.

Answers to questions:
1. Digital Downloads
For the digital download stuff basically whispering is correct as anyone in the world could create a digital download and put it up they just would kill the entire system of the record DB, I am thinking that your digital downloads would be added if:
As an artist you have releases on other physical products - vinyl, CD etc.
OR
As a label the label has releases other physical products (under it's own name) - vinyl, CD etc.
With both case the physical product be made available to the public and on general sale in several stores and axp 100+ of the release on sale.
This is needed as technically if we allowed all downloads in the record DB, people would be recording themselves farting and then claim they are a verified hardcore artist. I know this will cut a tiny amount of legit artists out of the record database but we have to make a clear cut rule here and not what we *think* should be in the database.
This is not my final ruling here... It is just to early in the download market to decide what to do.
2. Promo and unreleased
We don't enter promo records or "post release schedules", if the record is not on sale or a test press has been created (e.g the record is now out in the general public) - we can't add the record. I personally have been burnt in the past entering in release schedules for record labels that then go and change their release schedule a few weeks later.
3. Don't believe what you read
Unless you own the record, you should NOT submit data to us, for example the discography on the next generation records site is actually wrong, how do I know this? Because I have the physical record showing me they have mixed up their catalogue numbers.

I will add it later, and please dont let my lazyness stop you from contributing tracklists. Its just that, it takes about 30-60 minutes to add a (about 40 track) compilation, so it may take while for me to find the energy to start adding it, but i will add it. This was one of the things that i wanted to work on in the DB, as there are way too few CD's listed. So please do keep em coming, eventhough i may not add them right away :)

Yes and no, i have guidelines how to post them, but the record DB needs some modding before i can start adding them. Silver is working on other areas of the site ATM, so dont know when hes going to be able to start working on the DB. If i would start adding them now, i would have to edit them all, when the digital formats are added to the DB.

No it hasnt been added yet. Fastest way for you, would be to copy/paste the tracklist from e.g. there -> http://www.aatw.com/default.php?hotpick=1 and just check from the cover that all info is correct. And post it with the rest of the release info :)

slight issue with that tracklist for clubland, cd3 hixxy has 16 tracks. Track 2 is N-Trance - Set You Free (Hixxy rmx) and track 3 is Special D - Come With Me (Hixxy rmx) which will change the rest of the track numbers one higher. Just a typo but track 13 is N-Trance - Forever (hixxy rmx)

*Resurrection*
Theres been a 2,5 month pause, were nothing has been added. Going to v.3 wasnt painless to the DB system, and have pretty much been going from one bug to another. ATM i cant add anything that has more then 25 tracks (dont ask :p), so will be adding mainly vinyls untill that is fixed. Though the upside is, going to v.3 made the whole adding process shit lot faster, cause i dont have to wait loading times since the servers are so fast :)

Your actually not that far from truth ;) Anyway, most bugs are still there. If the record has over 25 tracks, i cant add it. We are short on coders. I think there might be a temporary solution to bypass the biggest bugs, but i need to talk with silver about it.

I am unable to keep ahead on the contributions all by myself. I would have wished to introduce few more record DB moderators, but the state the DB is right now, and the fact that i cant get in contact with silver, i have no way in saying when they are going to be added and by whom. If i get time, i will add stuff. But i apologise to all the people that have contributed stuff that hasnt found its way to the DB yet.
When i started with the DB, i had a lot more time. Work has been taking a lot of time lately, and i find myself working overtime almoust everyday. After drawing 10 hours with a computer, i really dont feel like continue working with a computer when i get home Next month i'm moving, meaning i will have to use a lot of time to pack stuff. I have no idea if ill even get internet to my new place. In 3 months, ill be moving again -> same thing all over again. When i finally in early summer will be settling down, it'll be few months and i have to go do my military service, which lasts about 6-12 months here 
That said, you can keep contributing. If i cant add them myself, ill make sure to forward them to whoever takes over the DB after me. But i can no longer give any promises when that will happen, i have about 50 CD's from my own collection, which i havent been able to add, due to not having enough time. |

TBH, i have no idea. 'Cause i dont really know if theres going to be new mods and what their areas are. But at the moment there arent any record DB moderators. Plus the old system is, well old. It should have a system where members can contribute the records themselves and the mods would have to just accept the contributions. But to make such a feature we would need coders, as far as i know, we dont have them either :p |

We've been running the database since the start of the site, it has thousands of entries on the site only hardcore. The database is tied also into the radio so you can see in real time track and artist information. We have run our database just as long as discogs and had all the features discogs had before they did. |

okayyyyyyyyyyyy
so ive gone through my hardcore vinyl's
and i have well over 100 that arent in the database..
also there are some labels that need "cleaning up" and some labels that are just empty.."jolly roger" for instance, isnt spelt "jolly rodger"..as amusing as that would be ;)
whats the best way i should post these vinyls...i feel that one could tear through discogs and get even more vinyl added to the database if one was given the powa! ;)
some of the hardcore vinyl i have isnt even on discogs! so hhc.com would have it but discogs wouldnt - score! ;) |

Anyone out there have the White label by "DJ Ganja brain" cat # H+H 002
All that's written on the label is "DJ H Test press"
It's not even listed on discogs - where as H+H 001 by the same artist is
