Rave Nation - Helter Skelter VS Raindance
24 December 2007
Helter Skelter, the undisputed leaders of the Hardcore scene selling almost 300K albums to date, present the 5th instalment of their enormously popular hardcore compilation series.

Following on from the phenomenally successful United In Hardcore, Hardcore Classics, Hardcore 2007: United In Hardcore, and Hardcore 2007: The New Generation, Helter Skelter return with the biggest celebration of the genre ever seen.

Joining up once again with Rave party kings Raindance, Helter Skelter present 3 of the finest rave DJs of the last 2 generations –Slipmatt, Billy ‘Daniel’ Bunter, and Nicky Blackmarket- each DJ serving up a CD of some of the most seminal and well recognised rave anthems of all time.

Going back to their roots, Helter Skelter present a ‘rave in a box’ with each of the 3 CDs designed musically and stylistically to deliver the sound and experience of a real rave –with Hardcore meeting Rave Breaks, Old Skool and Drum n Bass.

Young or old, rich or poor, anyone who has ever wielded a glow stick, bounced in a kappa tracksuit, donned a white hat, blown a whistle, sucked a fluorescent dummy or bounced to a 170 BPM will kneel down in worship of this most epic of rave albums.

Re-spinning solid gold rave classics, from Drum n Bass; from the intelligent D&B of Pendulum’s ‘Slam’, and the fun and freneticness of Micky Slim’s ‘Bad Ass’; plus tracks from Roni Size, LTJ Bukem, Zinc, and Ray Keith... to the biggest Happy Hardcore anthems of a generation; from Scott Brown’s ‘Now Is The Time’, to Ramos & Supreme’s ‘Life Force Generator’, Dougal & Gammer’s epic ‘Everybody Free 2008’, Hixxy and Styles’ ‘Happiness DJ’, plus tracks from Slipmatt, Billy ‘Daniel’ Bunter, Brisk & Ham and Vibes... to all time favourite Old Skool classics, from Sons Of A Loop Da Loop Era, Rat Pack, Prodigy, Shades Of Rhythm, SL2, and more... to upfront House remixed fresh for the new compilations, from Cascada, to Ida Corr Vs Fedde Le Grand, Freaks, Peter Gelderblom and many more!

This is the ultimate collection of the biggest rave tracks to ever rock the dancefloor and yet another absolute must for any Hardcore Rave fan, containing the biggest DJs from the biggest genres in rave culture!!

i have no money now!!
ill have to wait for my bday... cos it looks ****ing awsome :D
Smoogie Had a listen and it is quite good! I notice there isalot of this Electrohouse being remixed into Hardcore, dont know what the deal is there but im pleased I brought it! The main let down was the 2008 of Life Force Generator by Ramos. Supreme & Sunset Regime which is terrible imo! The newest Sunshine After the Rain by UK Hardcore & Niki Mak is good!
DJ Euphoric The CD looks good but I won't be buying this.
Jimmygoat Opinions are often backed up by the sales- will be interesting to see where it goes at the end of first week of full sales (7th Jan).

Craig Switchback I think it's a pretty strong album. So good to see many different styles on the one compilation, and i'm a fan of all the genres featured.

The Old Skool/Rave Breaks CD is really good though. I love the updates of,

Now Is The Time
Can You Feel Real 2008
In Complete Darkness

Nicky Blackmarket's Jungle/Drum 'N' Bass CD is also rather good. Plenty of old classics and some new bits and bobs as well.

The Hardcore mix is also good, much better than the last one on Hardcore 2007 (The New Generation)
Quite liked the updates of "Devotion" and "After Dark".
radi4l very dissapointed unususual for helter skelter but the nicky blckmrkt cd ruined the whole thing

Your obiously not into Drum n Bass then, because that mix was great.

technoraver69 very dissapointing helter skelter?????????? they need to go back to the roots of harcore n stop muckin round, sum old skool rave tunes with an upfront twist maybe? wheres the mentalness of hardcore gone?
technoraver69 love the idea of putting a jungle/drum n bass cd into the mix but wots wit the nu skool cd,i,m not a fan of tha! old skool is old skool, classics lets leave em that way n stop ruining wot it was and consentrate on wat it should be! more upfront hardcore!!!!! pleanty of new raw talent out there give em a chance on a well know album????
95_was_the_time CD1 was ********
sawney bean hi,yeah um......listen i do mean to offend anyone but i think scott brown is soft on the gabbe tracks now.........
im not insulting him, i think he's a great guy, its just looking back at the gabba tracks he used to do were great..but now he's loosing the plot.
sawney bean i mean..........i even bet( if he's on this he's going to ruin it, by putting "hard creation-i will have that power( stunned guy's remix)"
not that im dissing him of course.
sawney bean and of course when i mean "if he's on this" i mean the "rave nation-helter skelter vs raindace" album your discussing on this topic.
xtc250 I brought this the other day and must say i was dissapionted not what i exspected
SPOOX Just finished listening to my copy & would definitely recommend it. 8/10
