Emanation Why do all hardcore events have to include drum n bass rooms. They r bad for the HAPPY hardcore scene n av a following ov the wrong crowd. I personally like drum n bass but wen i want to listen to it i do so at home cus i always feel un-easy in the dnb room.
I was at Hysteria in Coventry last weekend wiv my mate who travelled all the way up from wales to celebrate his b'day only for it to finish at 4 o'clock cus sum p***k was shootin off an air pistol in the dnb room. The hardcore was wkd n for somethin like that to spoil it 4 the rest ov us p*s**d me right off!

Hardcore is about happiness, n love n unity so why don't they ditch dnb 4 something more friendly like hard house or trance??????

Lets make it happen!

Brian K umm listening to drum & bass does make me happy & friendly. just because there are some bad apples amongst a certain group doesn't mean you can just segregate everyone off that enjoys listening to and dancing to d&b

ps: when did trance become part of the hard dance scene? =P

"Cuz I'm hardcore, heavyweight, magical man."
Emanation Hard trance is part ov the hard dance scene, Mark EG n M-Zone play hard trance n theres alot ov trance feeling in hardcore!
Don't get me wrong, i like dnb n makes me happy 2, but a lot ov trouble at events stems from the dnb room. Wen we appllied to run our hardcore nite at a club in brum, they said they didn't want a dnb room, cus ov the people it attracts.
Sorry mate, but this is just how i see it!

personally, i think that trance, hardtrance, happyhardcore and d&b are all kick ass, obv happyhardcore is the best, but i like trance as much as the others, if i was going out clubbing, if there was a club wiv a d&b room, hardcore room, trance & hard trance room, it be the best night club ever!!!!!!

Emanation So wot "clubs" av u bin to then. Slammin usually serves up a good meal ov hardcore, dnb, old skool, hardhouse n hard trance...........but then again i suppose IT IS the best club in the world!!!!

"Where's all the noise, all the girlz, all the boyz"
Simon Yeah I do understand what he means but I often go in the d&b room a lot coz I like d&b a lot there are a lot of the wrong sort of people on there but usually there's no trouble.

Sy.
XxXbUnnYgAlXxX I agree-d&b rooms get me well uneasy, sumthin2 do wiv the ppl i guess,i dunno... i luv d&b but ill go2 a special d&b event if i wanna hear it surely its ok 2 av a hardcore event & a d&b event seperately??????
XxX

I'm havin issues!
Emanation Thank-u, don't get me wrong i love dnb but if i want 2 go to a dnb event i prepare myself, so wen i get there i don't feel uneasy, whereas i prepare myself differently wen i go out to listen 2 hardcore, cus i just let go n av loads fun. In a dnb room i feel i've gotta keep myself 2 myself.

number2301 I had to go into the DnB room at the last Slammin to fill up me bottle of water and I didn't feel safe walking through a room full of Jungalists in a yellow jacket carrying a yellow horn :(

Probably nothing wrong with any of em just didn't seem as 'nice' as the Hardcore room :)

Brian K well maybe if you didn't dress so silly jaded junglist wouldn't give you such an uneasy feeling =P

Xenochrome LOL

D'n'B is a different style of music that projects a different atmosphere, so it is going to draw a different crowd. I love D'n'B and have never had any problems with the "Rude Boy Ravers".

Jaide i know a lot of junglists that love happycore, though they'll NEVER own up to it in public...they still show respect for the hardcore crowd when at parties and stuff like that...

hardcore junglist for life.. oi oi oi

saintberry one of the best sets ive ever heard was old skool hardcore acid techno mixed in with drum and bass. hardcore and drum and bass just go soo well! they were designed to be mixed together!

and i dont think that @ hardcore events drum and bass should be excluded...after all its still a form of hardcore, a root off the same tree if you will.

Emanation Maybe the dnb/hardcore scene is different off English shores but the 2 scenes mixed ova ere defo add tension at big events, i duno wh, but as others av said we feel uneasy!
