-{toMMy}-
Simon Well the artwork displays "A New Beggining" so I'll guess at it being called that :)

Sy.
virus yea, but the artwork also contains the word "breakbeat" :P which they isnt any since the first few comps

"GREAT, JUST GREAT now hardcore will die! THANKS A BUNCH!!!"
milo chapter six was also "the final chapter" in the series and in an interview frolic said that it was the end of that series (though he'd still be making cds)

"Everybody... rock, rock on.. "

CandyAss I'm glad he's still representing hardcore and that he has 'Til the Day on there, but if you say you're making a Final Chapter, well, don't make another chapter. I figured he would change the name, artwork, and maybe a few other things. Oh well, don't mean to bitch.

DJ STYLUS I asume the reason why he has brought out another chapter when calling the previous realese the FINAL CHAPTER, is because hardcore has grown massively since chater 6 was realeased.

Why change the name for, keeping the name will increase sales due to recognition of the cd, also an esential for collectors.

Looking at the tracklisting though, its abit out of date already and it aint even released yet, but its still hardcore so ill be buying it, not that there is any tracks on the cd that jump out at me and make me want to buy the cd...

I want to know if this chapter will get released in the UK, cus we never seen much of the other chapters over here =(

;)
CandyAss Hmmm, he says on his website that it's not going to be a chapter...oh well, maybe Moonshine has other ideas (extra sales and recognition, ect.). Looks like there's a Happy 2B Hardcore DvD coming out...that may be worth checking.

Did you know that a lot of the ravers in the U.S. don't even know happy hardcore is a genre and think happy 2B hardcore is a DJ that makes Frolic's CDs? Haha, it's always fun (though slightly annoying) explaining to them that it's a music style and it is not, under any circumstance, "just sped up trance."

There's a reason for that...probably little or no demand for them. Yes he usually has a pretty damn good track selection, however the mixing is VERY basic and often times he butchers tracks during the mix using his computer mixing apps.
H2BH chapters aren't BAD, but u'd be better off buying one of the Bonkers compilations or one of the many other tape/cd mixes u can find in the UK. Most of them have wicked track selection and far better mixing than any H2BH cd.
Just my opinion though

and brian K...man you’re bloody hilarious!

CandyAss Haha, I should start telling those people "Yeah, but UK hardhouse is just slowed down happy hardcore." ;-p

Or oh, oh, this one "Jungle is sped up hip hop." wtf?

Have you listen to some of the Bonkers CD's.Alot of them have bad mixing on them.

On another note they should have put the Phosphor remix of Shine a light on the CD instead of the touching down Remix.

Hardcore is what we make of it.Hardcore is forever.
Nick of Blaze! Firstly, thanks to everyone who's mailed me saying about Til The Day being on the new Happy 2b Hardcore comp.

It seems many of you were waiting for it on CD so there ya go. There's been a couple of mails asking whether it's the same mix as the vinyl, apparently, it needed a bit of a tweek when it was played out (cranking up the top end I think), well it's the same mix, but it's the remastered version of the original DAT so it's bangin' and hopefully a bit better.

Also, a few of you wanted to ask about a 'Til The Day single I mentioned on another post, it's not out yet, I'm still debating whether to do it because to get anyone interested in releasing it properly, we gotta have more commercial mixes (yes, possibly pop-trance). I know that's a real hot potato, so I don't think it's going to happen because I don't want the backlash.

If you all want it, and don't mind it having a variety of mixes including hardcore of course, then let me and everyone else know. In fact, Silver, let's have a poll:

Would you suffer pop mixes if it meant getting your hardcore on CD singles?

As for the Touching Down remix of Shine a Light, it had to be one or the other, but don't panic, I'll try and get the phosphor mix on another compilation.

At the end of the day, I've got about 5 or 6 new tracks (one might not make the grade - I'm still debating it) so there'll be a CD album sooner or later. It'll be a double album one CD mixed, the other unmixed because I know some of you want the whole tracks.

Anyhoo, another mammoth post by yours truly, I just like to keep y'all informed.

Cheers

Nick.

milo nick's long posts are probably one of the few i read in its full, always good to get clued in =)

F*** waiting for the official poll, here's my answer: YOU CAN BET YOUR LEFT NUT I WOULD!!!

Of course, I'd expect a CD single cost significantly less than vinyl, but I would love to have the choice of formats, even if it means having to press the [>>] button on the player to get past the pop mixes.

Nick of Blaze! OK thats cool,

CandyAss: Ta !

Silver: Ta ! Will be interesting.

Strychnine: Cheaper? Yes. Other formats: Of course, most definately.

Had three mails on this subject. I meant CD Singles as well as dedicated vinyl like we always do. No, the vinyl wouldn't have the other mixes, and we realise that vinyl is essential so the CD's wouldn't sacrifice the plastic.

Where possible, CD singles would maybe include a video and/or extra footage.

Actually, we're looking at producing DVD singles, I don't think that's been done before.

Cheers

Nick.

strychnine ^^ DVD single? While I'm supportive of the idea, wouldn't DVD (as a format) be overkill for a single? Don't get me wrong, I'd probably buy it, but it just seems to me that, with so much space and potential for features, it'd be more appropriate for an album or compilation of some kind (nudge-nudge-wink-wink ... take a hint, Nick )

Nick of Blaze! LOL....

Album is in the pipeline believe me.

DVD single sounds OTT but I want a video on there. I know we could do an enhanced CD but you gotta use computers and stuff so we're thinking of a DVD with more stuff on. Interviews, video, footage, and bonus tracks.

Still chewing the fat over this.

Cheers

nick.

domainraver (back to h2b hc)

The mixing is definately off on the Bonkers cds as well (hixxy bonkers 1.. there s few spots ouch!) but the mixing is a bit more exciting, not the same boring style.

the point is, i can remember i was so happy when they announced that the last happy 2b hc cd was going to be the LAST one.... and now they release this!

Lats face it, there are about a zillion better djs that could mix this cd and better represent the hardcore scene.

--steve

CandyAss That's true...I'll admit he's a much better DJ then me, but when he released Chapter 1 that wasn't the case. He really wasn't so good then, and pretty much got the gig with Moon$hine by luck because they wanted to capitalise on hhc's popularity at the time. Once he got a few albums done his mixing improved a bit, but there still are a lot of better DJs that would have a track selection that wouldn't make the non-hardcore loving audience cringe. Maybe then our scene would spread a little more in North America.

xxhappyxx lol duz it matter if he sed it was the last one? so he changed his mind...roll with it.
the tracklistin looks quite good, and is it just me or is 'my way' on almost every hhc compliation...!?!

TTD would b great on single, and what will be on the album? will it b a bang/blaze/stealh...etc album?

'come fly my child 2 a special place, with angels in the sky, the time has come 2 fly!'
Annex i'd just like to throw in a quik note.. about how many times superman has died... or any comic hero...

if it's profitable, it will be resurected.
some things just don't die, even when their dead *shrugs*
it's hardly the end of the world

and no doubt alot easier for af to pimp out hardcore under a brand name (htbh) as it where, then something new. Now granted for any veteren we'd love to see something new from him (maybe some new mixing? hehe) but to the general populous, 'hey yeah, happy to be hardcore, yeah i've heard some of that it was good stuff, hey here's a new one, why not!'
*shrugs*

it just works
which isn't to say i'm in full support of it.. but..
it's just a rather moot point that the last one was suposed to be 'the last one'
now it isn't.. 'oh no!!!' ;)

edit: forgot to add in there, hehe... i'd absolutely suffer the pop mixes!!!!! now granted i might not like em, but screw it, it's more n worth it!!! :)
though yeah, i know you keep sayin yer workin on it.. but i'd be all about a compliation hehe that'd be wicked nick
