Really like the tune, dislike the sample though. It would have been much better with a vocal sample of something more emotional. Rather then a sample thats been beaten to death.

I hear you, I'm glad your enjoying the tune. While I;m disappointed your not feeling the sample, I understand where you're coming from.

TBH i felt a more melancholy sample would have fit it better. I'm sure you had another meaning in mind when you chose the title "dropping bombs", but i got a different vibe from the melody and beats.
acidfluxxbass
Yeah I understand. People have said today that the track is very emotional, and the sample perhaps doesnt fit. You get a different perspective when producing than you do when looking back lol

Nice mate!
acidfluxxbass
Cheers man :) Delighted with how well this has gone down.
Ionosphere
Whispering has saved me the trouble of repeating myself....
Come on mate, sort out your samples! Use your imagination!
You should definitely try to remix this song ...if AFB is upto it of course.
Ionosphere
Thank you, I just hope he doesn't think we're treading on his toes.... :/
....Oi! Olly?

I'm fine with people expressing their own views, and I'm perfectly happy with people expressing their own tastes through remixing my stuff.
I've offered Ionosphere opportunities to remix my stuff in the past, and the offer is open with this and other tracks in question. I produce a track according to my tastes and influences. Unfortunately, Ionosphere feels that I'm ruining tracks with shabby samples.

I think you've misunderstood him. Its the direction you want to go. Which often changes when you hear the finished product (i.e. the something else might fit better then originally thought). Which i think was the case here. Though if you want to be like that, then i suppose theres not much community effect to gain from here...

Im not being like anything..
I respect Ionospheres opinion and I will always take in other people opinions on how a track could sound better. Having opera singing and vocal samples in a song is quite a refined taste/style. The sample Iono uploaded genuinely sounded like something he'd produce which is why I've offered him the opportunity to remix it to unleash his style on it. Thats effectively what remixing is, you're allowing other people to express their styles and preferences on a given track. I'm not sure if I've understood your last post correctly so take this with a pinch of salt

My previous post was mostly directed to your last sentence. Which i read as '**** you'. Now I'm speaking only for myself. But i think any possible remix went with that. Maybe you just like having the "original mix" of your tunes, i don't know... it's your prerogative.
acidfluxxbass
Not at all, I'm just stating that Ionosphere feels that the samples I'm using is ruining and wasting the track. As I said thats his opinion, and I always consider peoples opinion. The reason I made the post in the first place was to clearify that Ionosphere and I have two different sets of ears and two different creative minds, we wont end up with the same result. I'm not really seeing how my post is being misconstrued as a '**** you'.
What do you mean about having my Original mix as a prerogative?
Ionosphere
....woops.
Everyone here at hhc.com has seen Olly develop and that's always a pleasure. People give constructive criticism mainly because they care.
To bother to produce an example of what could be done with 'Dropping Bombs' is for encouragement and is only an example,
an Iono-example it's true, but it is a shame to see a track with such potential fall, in our opinion, short....
why use a sample from another Hardcore track when there's a world full of other stuff? :/
With a wider view Olly, your tracks could be immense instead of just being good.
