Okay so here's the dealio.
I thought i'd get a jump on this seeing as it's the beginning of a new month (and spring for me) tomorrow, so why not kick start this straight away?!
This is what i have planned.
In this thread, you'll nominate categories for the actual awards (best member, best thread etc). I wanna leave this running for the entire month so that even the less frequent members have a chance to participate and have their say. Here's the timetable:
Now - Sep 29th - Category nominations
Sep 30th - I'll announce the official categories for the 2011 awards
Oct 1st - Oct 30th - Member nominations for each category (this will be a private vote)
Oct 31st - I'll tally and announce who is nominated for each category
Nov 1st - Nov 30th - Voting begins for the 2011 awards (this will be a private vote)
Dec 1st - Whenever - I'll count votes. Last time this took me two weeks because all the lurkers and non regs voted, and i had to count literally HUNDREDS of member's votes. So it'll take time.
Before the end of Dec - I'll announce the winners of the 2011 awards.
Unfortunately, i spoke to silver and the medals probably wont happen. There's just no time, and from the sounds of it, he has way too much to do with the site already before luxuries like this are added, so it's just a bit of fun.
So go on fellas, post your ideas for categories in here, and i'll keep track of it all. Should, for any reason, you not want people to know your suggestions, you can always PM me.
Can a mod please make this a sticky? Only has to be a sticky til the noms close :)

it's just to ensure that even the nonregs can be a part of it.
Would be pretty shit if someone hadn't visited the site in a while to find they missed out on stuff, wouldn't it? |
