I fell in love with the gus as soon as i heard 1 of his tracks.
Eurodance is an old rythmic genre. With trance influence it evolved to Euro Trance and Eurobeat I think. And Hands Up evolved of Euro Trance. Though, im not 100% sure about the entire development, but handsup and eurodance are definitely not synonyms, except that handsup is in Eurodance and Trance genre group.

Not true. Especially what me and D-tor posted is not commercial.
The following is sorta commercial:
DO NOT mistake them for some similar not-commercial tracks. Because these evolved of their style.
Triquatra
sorry to break it to you but that stuff is super-commercial over here :P

u mean, everybody love the badass sort of handsup I posted in the 1st post??
Triquatra
yes, super popular
not to offend, but it tends to be highly popular amongst teenagers (10-14)

oh i see now. yh, teenage girls love cascada (which is different from what I posted). But being popular doesnt mean being commercial.
Triquatra
I wasnt talking about cascada specifically - Its easily classed as commercial over here
D-tor
Cascada was Hands Up/Eurodance. I think her new album is Electro though, since trend = money.

Cascada has definitely gone commercial. Not sure about their past though. But in this country only girls and rare modern dudes like me like cascada. however, if u tell a dude you like cascada, he wont call u a bitch before hearing the example. hell be like "WTF is Cascada?".
Triquata, I need to be there in order to fully understand what ure saying. Maybe ure right, cuz how the hell am I suppose to know what motives Boosterz Inc have. what i know for now is that there are commercial handsup artists and those without commercial motives. you cant judge the entire genre and all of the artists.
If any1 is interested in classical Eurodance, there's "Classic EuroDance" station on di.fm. Its not like handsup at all, despite the fact that many people call every Eurodance influenced genre Eurodance (just like those "anime trance" lovers on YT call everything Trance).

Just a question, have you ever heard of the Future Trance compilations? It started out early on showcasin trance tracks (the first volumes have some really old stuff on there.
Anyway, volumes about 20-50 are PACKED with hands up, I'm not even kidding, there is some epic stuff on there, if you havn't already, check that out!
Don't know any forums though, but I could probably go through and share some viddies...

Too bad I am Swedish, and also 19 years old so I can't take Hands Up seriously since everyone in my school used to listen to it and call it "trance"

**** Im so familiar with that issue! Actually, I used to be "one of them"! The "Trance" scene on YouTube with uploads marked with either Trance or tag+Trance, and with an anime picture on the video!
I actually like the scene but I dislike the way they call EDM. Though, is it just me, or is there nowadays smaller number of handsup on "anime trance" scene?

Hands up is just a shit name for a genre of music
I've been calling it bouncy trance for years as that's exactly what it is

Actually, as far as I know it was like this:
Eurodance + Trance => Euro Trance and Eurobeat
Euro Trance + little hardness + bouncyness => Hands Up
It seems to me like eurotrance and eurobeat were created because some people wanted to make some happy trance. pretty good idea though.
Bouncy Eurodance sounds better to me than Bouncy Trance though. But what do u think about"Upfront Eurodance" as name?

That sub culture consisted with douches, the same kids listen to Hardstyle (newer Hardstyle) and drink Rockstar nowadays.

I just see Hands up as music that makes you want to put your hands up. Almost ALWAYS has a catchy vocal, with a tune that will stick in your head for years and features a 4/4 kick with offbeat bass that's a little softer than hardcore...

Its also a bit different bass. The fun thing is tht u can experiment with bass automation if u want. Ive heard sum good stuff like that and luvd it ^^ Unlike in Hardcore which is just too fast.
But mostly frigging boring, BORING beginnings.
Though, here's some softer Hands Up.

This statement probably probably uses the best words to describe, why I am not into Hands Up this much. It usually sounds a little bit like Happy Hardcore slowed down to death.
There is a good Hands Up track: Rocco - Generation Of Love
I like it, but still I think it should paced up by 10 - 20 bpm.
