Then it struck me that I don't really see many J-Core threads around here and I think it deserves way more recognition in the Hardcore scene so it might be nice to talk about Japanese Hardcore here, discuss the latest CD releases, maybe throw some Japanese Gabber, Makina and Speedcore in there too.
In regards to non-Japanese artists who produce J-Core such as Jakazid, I'd say the best option would be to discuss their Japanese influenced tracks or tracks that appear on Japanese compilations separate from their work on non-Japanese compilations (such as Movin' To This). I'm not sure how Jakazid likes his tracks to be categorised but it's probably better than lumping all his music into one category. Same applies to all the other artists in a similar position to him.
So yeah, feel free to discuss and post your favorite songs, artists, DJs and so on.
I'm not normally a fan of gabber but kenta-v.ez...holy crap

Yeah absolutely. One thing about J-Core is that even if you take away the obvious Japanese stuff you can still tell it apart from other Hardcore. I can't quite place what it is but it's definitely different from what you hear in the UK

quote:Here are some known J-Core artists I know. I'll tell you as much about them as I can. Also, J-Core is pretty much a style, not everyone here is actually Japanese (not saying that they also aren't).
http://soundcloud.com/hardkom .kom. Makes Tribecore and Frenchcore, considerably harder than traditional Hardcore. His Magia Remix was really popular but it hit the download limit.
http://soundcloud.com/3r2 3R2. Makes a lot of Hardcore after anime, and has gotten releases on Ruffbeatz and Allkore. A talent to look for indeed, he posts free songs sometimes.
http://soundcloud.com/3t1a ETIA. is a sick J-Core producer, with great free tracks in the 'Trancecore' style. Although one of my favorite tracks by him is a quick Jazz song called 'Heaven's Cloud'.
http://soundcloud.com/amethys AMETHYS produces a variety of genres for free. Hardstyle, Makina, Hardcore, Hands Up!...
http://soundcloud.com/aeternity AEternity. American producer with a lot of great tracks for free. Anime based Freeform/Makina. He's in his early 20s.
http://soundcloud.com/b45h B45H has some UK Hardcore tracks available for download, also produces Breakcore.
http://soundcloud.com/cobalt_green cobalt_green produced one Hardcore song on this SoundCloud, unfortunately it reached the download cap after KnuX used it in one of his mixes. The other two tracks are Trance tracks.
http://soundcloud.com/dj-cruelcore-neo You should already know Cruelcore / Core-Station from the forum, but his channel is worth a mention. Also anime. Is there. Yeah.
http://soundcloud.com/djshimamura Shimamura is getting bigger in places other than Japan, so I don't think he needs an introduction.
http://soundcloud.com/deejay-mashiro DJ Mashiro has three tracks up. Two Hardcore and one Trance, one of the Hardcore tracks a free collab with 3R2.
http://soundcloud.com/dj-triex Triex! Probably my favorite Aussie producer. Shinsengumi is free on Audio Crysis (Ruffbeatz 005) and is also available on his SoundCloud. He updates with free tracks sometimes, but not all of them are J-Core as Triex produces whatever the hell he feels like producing.
http://soundcloud.com/djnoriken DJ Noriken has made some good J-Core songs based on anime. I've been seeing a lot more of him lately, as with some remixes by JAKAZiD, which is big.
http://soundcloud.com/genkianamei genkianamei has great Hardcore on his channel, I've personally used his tracks on more than one occasion.
http://soundcloud.com/nanashi NaNashi is not so much in the harder styles, but the Hands Up!. Trance. and Hardstyle is definitely worth a listen.
http://soundcloud.com/nnn-1 Hardcore, Tribecore, Gabber; all fresh scary sounds coming from nnn. (nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn)
http://soundcloud.com/nocv Happy Hardcore forum frequenter that sadly stopped producing (for reasons unknown). There are several J-Core tracks and worthy originals on his SoundCloud!
http://soundcloud.com/redalice J-Core bigshot REDALiCE. Get on there and start faving tracks... because I don't know if there are any free tracks.
http://soundcloud.com/shingodj My favorite Hardstyle producer Shingo DJ hails from Argentina and has been known to produce Hardcore. He releases them as free EPs titled SHIN0##. He also produces Speedcore under the alias Round Wave Crusher.
http://soundcloud.com/hentai_god hentai_god... what a fun name to credit in setlists. He also has an alias so-fram*c, and there are plenty of free tracks on his SoundCloud.
http://soundcloud.com/t2kazuya Hailing from New York, T2Kazuya has been producing J-Core for years. Check out his SoundCloud for all the latest tracks!
http://soundcloud.com/takatdm Taka☆ produces a variety of genres... check it out to see if he makes what you like. :D
http://soundcloud.com/tantantanuki TANUKI, a truly gifted producer, who can somehow shit out sounds that would make the rest of us sob. Check it out for some free Anime based tracks, as well as a Nu Foundation tribute song Hollow.
http://soundcloud.com/toyco ToyCo is an American producer whose originals are instrumental masterpieces. His SoundCloud is filled with UK Hardcore remixes, but his style is unique enough to be featured. (At least in my unprofessional opinion)
http://soundcloud.com/trouttraxx WATAMI, the mysterious producer that decided to make a SoundCloud one day and never thought about telling anyone. Grab all of his latest tracks for free, and be sure to check out Tears, the J-Pop to J-Core remix featured on Crush On Hardcore 4!
http://soundcloud.com/usao926 USAO makes the craziest shit. Hardstyle mainly, with occasional Hardcore as well as his doujin compilation album that also contains Hardcore.
http://soundcloud.com/you-hardcore And last but certainly not least is you-hardcore. At first glance these songs may not be available to download. Look in the description and you'll find yourself on his blog, and then from there you can download all of his showcased tracks. He also runs a compilation series, entitled For You, Tidy You, and Dirty You. Definitely check this guy out.
That's all the J-Core Hardcore I follow, with a few non-Hardcore thrown in there. GET ON IT. And lastly, hadoooooouuuukkkkeeeeenennnn~
I've been told I'm the king of free tracks. I like that title.

DJ D-Luc-D
All the Hardcore tracks are unmixed. I only have SUPER SHOT2 which has some amazing Hirojack tracks but no intros on them so I'm guessing none of the non-hardcore tracks are unmixed on the CDs released later than that 1.

After seeing this for the first time today, I have decided I must visit Tokyo.
Does anyone know the tracks he played in this set, particularly the song at 11:30? That song in particular sounds amazing. I only know:
DJ Shimamura feat Yukacco - Magic Night
P Light - Let's Sing (DJ Shimamura Remix)
DJ Shimamura feat Yukacco - Like A Rainbow
Other than that I don't know, can someone fill in the blanks?
Anyway, I mainly listen to UK Hardcore and classic happy hardcore although I do like J-Core and it's neat how it has its own melodic sounds distinctive from other types of hardcore. The only reason I don't listen to it more often is because it's less accessible to me due to generally being exclusive to Japan and being a bit harder to search for :p
I would debate that if it's really j-core or not, since joshka is jakazid

Miku is a loli? Since when?
But that's just a picture and song upload. That's too much of a generalization to accurately portray an entire genre.
I am in no way denying that there isn't some otaku influence (part of the reason why some older J-Core artists left the scene), but I am simply stating that genre is broad enough to encompass different producing styles and concepts.
Also, I like to consider Josh as a J-Core artist. AEternity, JAKAZiD, and TANUKI aren't Japanese but have contributed to the scene. It's not like everything is set in stone.

U dont think Miku is a loli? mmm she looks like 12, has a flat chest, wears cute/sexy clothing. But i guess it depends on how u see it lol.
Anyways, im not trying to generalize anything. Im just questioning y alot of ppl (on youtube for example) use loli anime as background to j-core or other hardcore songs that have no relation to anime.
I didnt know that some J-core artists left the scene due to otaku influence. That's interesting info :p

I don't want to go into the reasons why but they were really struggling to keep the business afloat, and rather than go bankrupt I think they decided to cut their losses and put the venture on hiatus for the time being. The people that run mydjsobad aren't really salesmen first and foremost, just a bunch of guys that are really passionate about their favourite music and wanted to make it easier for people in the West to obtain it legally.

Might it be because J-Core and mainstream UKHC scenes are strictly separated there in Japan?
A-Remix Nation Vol.3 is amazing, keep having eargasms because of Explorer World (LU-I Remix) and the 2nd track but I don't know how to write it on iPad :)

I mean Japanese producers have always been doing UK Hardcore / Gabber / Makina, but to distinguish Japanese Hardcore as a genre and not a country of origin, i would call it only tunes that have Japanese vocals or the style thats more unique to Japan (e.g. stuff from Kenta-v.ez, tpa:pbr and the like).

P*Light <3
Easily my fave J-Core producer... Except maybe Betwixt & Between
Samination
tbh I've never been fond of P*Light
DJ D-Luc-D
I haven't heard too much of his stuff but from what I have heard he seems like a great producer.
D-tor
I haven't heard of P*Light until the last few months, but that's not saying much as I've been slowly discovering artists via SoundCloud. He is awesome though.

Much obliged. Mashiro's 妹パラダイス is a personal favorite of mine. Despite it being an eroge remix as all (srsly the songs the Japanese sing for their porn is really good, just look at Super Shot).

Have a listen to this, it has vocals I cant understand, so Im guessing it's J-Core!
For anyone who does not know, this is USAO's infamous doujin futanari album ほっち◯ぽっち4beat, the fourth album. The release on these albums have always been weird, but it seems like it's going straight to free download judging from the description in Olly's link.
And yes, Japanese vocals.
piumaki
Yeah 100% Jcore stuff! lovely track! :)
Claxton
J-Core neeeeds to become more accessable in the UK. I know there are ways but it would be great if labels could release tracks the same way as UK labels on trackitdown etc...
djDMS
I find it astounding that they ignore potentially big markets such as the UK/Europe/US.
What can they lose by promoting more over here?

since kors k seems to mostly produce hardcore, shouldnt that one be MOSTLY hardcore? ;:)
4/14 tracks isn't really enough for me And there's not a lot if you compare it to DJ Shimamura's Essential Works.
Samination
really? just 4 out of 14? now that's low :(

And only one contribution from someone else, which is Shimamura.

Does anyone know any good J-core compilations similar to Hardcore Syndrome (similar as in the variety of genres)? The Hardcore Syndrome comps are the only ones I have so far. :/

I'd look for X-Treme Hard Compilation series, J-Core Masterz and Bastard Pop Terrorists. The last J-Core Masterz (which is vol.10) is really really really good. My favourites were Shoujo - hikiFUTURE and Black Ace - Fast Connection, and I was lucky enough to find someone selling one in the UK

I'm not even going to say those words to my dad. I know what the reaction is....
My convincing powers may have worked How much should I expect it all to cost with delivery if 1 CD costs 1890JPY?
Hirschi
Does this also count as J-Core?
Archefluxx
Some of you may have heard me play this in a mix recently.
One of the best Hardcore tracks I've ever heard, let alone J-Core.

they never said so (I know, I have seen those out of stock messages from them before), and they even confirmed the payment.
Both CDs are still listed on the site. It's the 2 new M-Project CDs, Hardcore Illusionist 3 and Suzumoto Kouichi E.P. 2.
I've emailed them so they now. I even used the email they sent me last, that has the complete order (with 5 discs ordered on 3 different albums)

does any one know about the actual scene in japan not just the music i am headed there and would love to find some hardcore parties to hit up?
Hard2Get
Silver is your man. In fact this very question has been asked in it's own topic, have a search.

Cheers, i have been looking but i'll search by his name
Korean producer SANY-ON released an EP of updates of touhou remixes he had featured on some free download compilations before, which is here http://madmindmachine.com/4loves and the other free compilations can be found at http://maru9.org/ at the top of the page :P
I started a netlabel called Touitsu Recordings which only has one EP at the moment which had no J-Core but a free album with UK Hardcore, Freeform, Gabber and Frenchcore is in the making :D go to http://touitsurecordings.blogspot.co.uk for that.
Also http://prismaticmusic.bandcamp.com had quite a few but because 3R2 ran out of free download credits, he put the free stuff on http://pmm.tw where there is also a shop of their CDs :) check out the Prism Remix E.P. which is a paid digital release of 3R2 remixes of other J-Core tracks :P
204 Feat. Zoe VanWest - Be Happy --- an EP featuring the original and remixes from Fracus & Darwin and 3R2
J-Core Masterz Vol.12 and Bastard Pop Terrorists Vol.16 --- two of the most well known series in the scene, and these had some quite nice tracks from Daniel Seven, Kurushi, Black Ace, 3R2 & DJ Mashiro, Shingo Dj and a lot more :)
ヲタStraight line 4.5 and ヲタStraight line Final --- BL-Records most recent CDs featuring pocotan, you, saqwz, the owner himself MUZIK SERVANT and Twintale a.k.a good old Shimamura ;) these were on http://j-core.biz but got removed, they may have got them back in stock so email them to make sure :)
DJ Ronny - Funky Teknique Vol.3 --- if you like your Funkot :P
The 4th - As One feat. Yukacco --- a very popular EP from kors k and Ryu☆ with many remixes included
Shoujo - Electro x Life E.P. - Shoujo's very own EP on MOB SQUAD BLACK LABEL also featuring his Matra Magic stuff
204 - 204 E.P. - 204 didn't have a collection released recently like he had before with Tokyo dOnkers eXclusive in 2010 and U Got 2 Bounce at the end of 2011, but he brought out his own E.P. also on MOB SQUAD BLACK LABEL
3R2 feat. MC Boryoku - Skype SEX E.P. - another MOB SQUAD BLACK LABEL EP :)
P*Light/DJ Noriken - RADIANCE and V.A - SPEED BALL GT --- Most recent CDs from HARDCORE TANO*C :D released digitally too
RoughSketch - Breaking The Rules - His latest album of which this time the whole thing was released digitally as well as CD so you can get that from TID, Juno or wherever if you don't want the CD :P
Yatsuzaki Hardcore Vol.2 - another Notebook Records release with UK Hardcore, J-Core Gabber etc., also digital as well as CD
Japanese Stream Hardcore Vol.2 - this CD also got released on iTunes along with Japanese Stream Hardcore Vol.1 and all the other Psycho Filth Records stuff
SUPER SHOT5 Special edition - the new release from SHOT MUSIC, which isn't on http://j-core.biz unfortunately but I've found a place to get it without getting a forwarding service to ship it to you once you get it from Amazon.co.jp or somewhere, this is to back-order it though http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/detail?scode=MED-CD2-11168 this time it's 2 discs: one unmixed and one mixed by JAKAZiD.
There's probably a load I'm forgetting, but I'm ill so can't really be bothered to think hard enough xD but I think that list is enough to keep you going ^^^ one last track though:
you can buy this from iTunes :D

Edit: I dont know what I originally ordered, but I updated my new order... with more :P
Yeah, there's still a load I need to order too :P but I need to pay for artwork and mastering for the free album coming soon on Touitsu :P
Also need to pre-order Helblinde's CD (if nobody else knows about this, it's definitely going ahead as $1500 has been raised :D pre-order here: http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/helblinde-cd )
I was tempted to bump this thread again :D

Sharpnel should really considering either selling or giving out their older tracks. Most of the world has been missing out on them.

any j core masters wanna help me out?
posting this in track id would be pretty useless. does anyone have any idea what the name of the track is that Genki enters at 44:55 ? cannot figure it out :p
Does anyone know this song?
Hi everyone. I'm really depressed because I can't find a title/artist of a song I really like. It's in this mix: https://soundcloud.com/club-late-music/ ... ix-for-clm
It's at the beginning, after the japanese voices. Around 1:00- 1:30.
I will be so happy if someone knows the tile !!!!! HELP
I've not heard a big amount of J-Core but have been impressed with what have heard in the past from the likes of DJ Shimamura (haven't heard any tracks from him for ages) and have liked majority of tracks from M-Project and also some other new talent artists.
HolTunes is a label have discovered from bandcamp which have been impressed with what I've heard so far.
