Bonkers4Life So, since 7D has showcased alot of new/established Dj talent, I thought, why not give the producers a chance to shine! So here's what's in store for those producers looking to get the tracks out into the world. 7D is proud to announce completely FREE unmixed album! All tracks will be exclusive to this 7D release, so only tracks that have not been released are welcome on this unmixed album. 7D is looking for 15-20 tracks, and WILL NOT be released until that limit is reached. If it is not reached, then this will not be released. PLEASE SHARE THIS! Every producer out there should know!

There is no deadline, once it hits the limit it will be released.

If interested please email 7D at: [email protected]
redwingz Are bootlegs welcome or just originals?

yea for sure, anything is welcome
Bonkers4Life still looking! Let me know if you for sure want a track(s) on it!
DJ-Hutchy Is it anything going to be allowed on it or will it have quality control??
Gisbo I don't really see the point of exclusive tracks in a DJ mix, pretty sure producers will want to release tracks at some point?
Unless you allowing releases to be made after, if so you can count me in.

This.

and I don't mean to be a party poop, but seriously, there has to be some quality control since ANYONE can compile 15-20 tracks from the internet.

Im not sure what you mean. Nothing on this album will have hit the internet yet. It is all tracks that have not been released into the world yet. Everything will be exclusive.

I am just trying to give producers that haven't had much luck, a chance to have some sort of recognition. Aswell as established producers to promote themselves. I know Sc@r is going to put 1-2 tracks into this

And sure, ANYONE can put together an project like this. And ANYONE could have come up with a Project like 7D. But I dont see anyone doing it.

I'm not saying it's just about grabbing random tracks off the internet, but saying that the project "WILL NOT be released until that limit is reached" is the same as saying anything goes, as long as the limit is reached, which is what makes me wonder about quality control.

I don't see why I have to limit what people can submit. Unless its to the point where they just sped up a track, but other than that, if its their piece of work and its good, i will accept it

Yes? I didnt want to rush producers for something that may not even happen because it didnt get enough tracks
DJ-Hutchy Basically what i meant was....

if someone submits a track and its shit, will you still put it on?

If someone submits a track and its average but good, will you still put it on?

or

Its gotta be at a really good level of production to get on the album..

Hope that helps mate ;)
Archefluxx I don't understand why there's so much confusion about this. Its a pretty simple concept.

If its something I really enjoyed, and I'm pretty sure the rest of the world will enjoy, it will go on.

Of course Im not gunna take something that isn't good :P

This confirms my first impression of the main post. It's exactly as I understood it.

Back on topic, what I find funny is that Bonkers is pretty much setting up a label for zilch and wants to cash in with donations.

Seriously? The donations go directly to the album. I don't use it for anything else. Its used for artwork, sever cost, etc...

I'm not trying to rip anyone off. I don't know why you are trying to make me a negative view for people to look at, but please stop.

I don't rip people off. I give young/new producers/djs a chance to get noticed. If you have a problem with that, go somewhere else.
Josephson_Junction I sent an email!

Will this start a trend of unmixed 7D albums (alongside the mixed ones), by the way? Because that would be nifty!

Also, just asking, but do you need any help with the album art? *wink wink nudge nudge*

It could start it. Depends on how well this one goes. And I do have someone for artwork this one, but I am needing someone for 7D "Best Of".
DJ_FunDaBounce I apologize if I offended you. I guess I am venting somewhat my frustation with the state of the scene and music industry in general. What I understood from your main post was that you were waiting for a specific number of tracks to come in so as to put together the compilation. From the look of things, I wasn't the only one with the impression that your intention was to release, regardless of quality. TBH, the amount of music being put out, in general, is just insane. Just as an example, out of the 6 volumes of your "7D" series I've only listened to one mix, mainly because there is a track of mine in it. Something I've been thinking about for a while is how "disposable" music has become nowadays; how days of work can go into a track which might only be played once or twice, and that's the feeling I get everytime I see a new collection of multiple 2-hour-long/30-plus-track mixes. I love hardcore, but atm, I feel out of touch with the scene in terms of roots. It's almost as though nowadays there are no roots. just noise.
Dante Yeah, happy hardcore ruined everything ;p

Even the so called "dubcore" is closer to the old rave roots than the common UK/happy style. Funny, huh?
