Amazing tune! I wonder if anyone would ever remix that track
The riff is from Depeche Mode - Enjoy The Silence. Klubfiller, At Peace and I think Logic have done remixes too.
I was referring to myself. The riff is actually from some other techno tune which is a remix of Enjoy the Silence. Anyway your kinda cute so call me maybe?
Love this tune proper singing into hairbrush tune>>>
When the day turns into night
And the world is sound asleep
Thats when you take me higher
And the secrets that we keep
You try to bring me sunshine
But you leave me feeling cold
I cant wait forever or put my life on hold
I cant wait untill you stop your everlasting games
You dont no cuz you'v never seen me dancing in the rain
If you really wait too long
But you wont no until you've seen me dancing in the rain
Dance in the rain, we'll be dancing in the rain
If you close your eyes and then you hope to find
In the distant dawns of your mind
And no matter what its just the same
When you see me dancing in the rain
If you want me to hold on
And make your life complete
Make me feel you need me
And everytime we meet
Set my heart on fire
Then you let me down again
Thats why you'll always find me
Dancing in the rain
I cant wait untill you stop your everlasting games
You dont no cuz you've never seen me dancing in the rain
Dance in the rain, we'll be dancing in the rain

If you want to experience this track with someone else that really loves it, I found a video of this guy singing along to it in his car. I want to be clear; I'm not posting this to take the piss out of him. I just really enjoy seeing people enjoy the same things I enjoy.
Still prefer the Euro Mix somehow since it's more euphoric while the original has some "dead end moments" ^^'
_Jay_
A little-known track that I absolutely adore. It was only available in 192k on IMO Download when I bought it, and IMO Download obviously doesn't exist (properly, anyway) any more. I did recently contact DJ Robbo to see if he had a 320 knocking about, but he said it was going back a number of years and he probably didn't.
quote:Haha, sometimes I think you are overreacting a bit when it comes to original versions :)
Whether they are original or not doesn't matter. It's about which is better made. Although i find you (me) often prefer the first version you hear of songs, purely because it's the first version you heard. Even if it's technically not the best.
Big thank you to Simon for recommending me this one a few months ago :-)
It's a beast! I've loved that song since I first had the good fortune to hear it on a dreamscape cd from 1997 (I think it was a Vibes mix), it's one of the very very few songs I've never grown bored of [@P)]

I don't think I'm aware of ANY other version of this track (and if there is one in existence it won't be better than the original version!)
I've managed to track down the CD I was referring to (and I know I still own it, it's in storage in the UK), can't believe I was jiving away to this 16 years ago! Vibes disc was particularly strong.
Funnily enough, I was looking at You Are The One on Discogs a couple of days ago. I'm gradually going to start building a vinyl collection of some old gems that I love and really get to grips with mixing vinyl as well. I digress (fancy that). I happened to notice that there was a remix. Just looked at it again, and there was a 'Crisis' remix. Not heard it or found it though. Is that the one you were thinking of, Matt?
Today's tune. Someone just posted this on facebook. It's from Bonkers 5, and I must have heard it. It's massive.
I've had this tune for a while, and I've had it on my website as well. How the hell I haven't ever realised just how good it is, I'll never know. What a fcuking glorious vocal, and what an atmosphere!
Another one for Kathryn, proper Hardcore: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P5QWpVdzMPY The set he played at HTID is probably still my favourite of all raves ever. Also helps that for a one off occasion the Techno room DJ's were playing in the main room (Air) while the main stage was outside.

Nice bit of modern cheese from me, today. This can be downloaded for free, as well. Result.
I can see why you like this track Jay it has a nice Scott Brown feel to it.
Yes, of course! I only corrected the name of the track. I totally understand why Jay likes this one.
_Jay_
Ha ha!! It's important that asses get back home. Where they belong. For inspection.

Oh. My. Biscuits. I had totally forgotten about this track. It was on a 2002 compilation called The Ultimate Hardcore Album (6 x CD, 3 x CD mixed by Sy & Unknown, 3 x CD unmixed) that I bought on holiday down in Cornwall with my parents years and years ago. Rinsed the fudge out of it for a considerable period, and it's been in the loft for like, I dunno, eight years or something? Just dusted it off today, and I knew there was a track coming soon that I used to be obsessed with. And there it was. That piano. That vocal. Fcuking POW!
This was on the - what I now consider almost legendary - Dougal & Gammer mix on True Hardcore (2007). And this is the version with Whizzkid's MCing on, which I don't actually mind, funnily enough.
Put on my dancing shoes and I set out again Touched down in a land where the vibes were new and no one even knew my name Everybody was happy, ecstasy shining down on me Yeah, I got a first class ticket, I felt as good as anyone could feel Find More lyrics at www.sweetslyrics.com
I'm raving, I'm raving I'm raving 'til the dawn sneaks up on me I'm raving, I'm raving Does anyone feel the way I feel?

Seeing as I'm going to be in Freeform heaven tonight (at Sinistry), it's only fitting my track of the day is a Freeform number. One of my favourites from the last couple of years:
Hadn't heard this Euphoria until very recently!! Superb! Euphoria (Vagabond) produced so many great tracks between 2004 - 2008!! Oh Save Me was earlier than thought it was - 2005.
Another Vagabond to check out if you don't remem it:
I love When Angels Cry. I had that track on repeat for days when I first heard it!
Squad-E - Stay - So ****ing good. I hate how he completely butchered it with the new version on HTID Vol 3. Shame he lost the original files so the full track will never see the light of day... I only have a full version of that track with terrible quality. :D
My favourite part is the "We can't leave this til tomorrow, this moment can pass"... I obsessed over this song so many times and I feel another obsession is incoming!
EDIT: There's another tune of Squad-E under his Hypasonic alias that has the same kind of mood that Stay has, that I was just reminded of having my Stay marathon :P. Listen to it! :D
What happened to this man. He used to be so brilliant!

Brisk & Technikore - Hold Your Head Up High

Nick 235 - Elemental Darkness. The original version, not the "Enlighten" version released on Nu Energy.
Honourable mention goes to Audio Warfare - Moonbow Sonata. To me, it's one of the very few (hardcore) adaptations of classical music that doesn't feel forced.

On the contrary, I absolutely LOVE the Fundamental Darkness that was released on Nu Energy (the Enlightened one I suppose it was), but don't really feel the HU album one... :P
So so so gooooood. Shame it will probably never see a digital release, seeing as it's on Raverbaby, and no thank you, don't want a fartcore 2014 remix. :/

I only know about it because someone recommended it to me in this thread, when I was going on an "older" Hardcore mission of discovery!
Great song from Geos Crew. Have heard Breeze's remix but not this original. Had forgotten about the GEOS Crew (DJ Robbo & MC Marley)! They did do some decent tracks which featured on Bonkers 14, 15, couple of the Hardcore Heaven albums among others.
He seems to have forgotten to enable downloads though. lol

this randomly came on today in a mix I had and made me remember how awesome this track reallly is, these days I listen to lots of hardcore with big trance leads and girly lol twinkly sounds, but this track is raw , original, underground and sounds so special when I've heard it on a big system at a rave

I only hard this for the first time the other day courtesy of Deano's Stomp! promo mix (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K3uPeIi6K6g). Feels like I should definitely know it! Quality Hardcore track.
I'm in love! It just started playing after the DS remix of We Killed The Rave, and I didn't see who had made the track... thought it was Gammer when it dropped... haha.

Just Discogs. Cost me ?2 + p&p. Bargain! I've actually got a few AATW promos from years gone by because all the record shops used to get flooded with them back in the day.

Hixxy & Styles - "Takin' Over Me"
(Giving Bonkers 11 a bash today - so many gems that I forgot about!)
This absolutely had me rushing. It's nice to feel like that about a Hardcore track again. This has lots of genious production techniques that make the track simply mind-blowing.
Amazing tune man. That vocal is absolutely huge. And it's probably got enough conservative kind of credibility to be used in a Freeform-style track/remix, as well.
Try and license a remix of it for one of your albums!

I'd noticed a couple of weeks ago the forthcoming track from Plus System - Ride My Camel. Was looking forward to hearing it. Heard it earlier, what a track.
really, I wish the e-nuff on Hard Life was this track. I guess the version on the album is more a "Druid & Sharkey" remix
The one on Hard Life was shite.

Thought of this classic hardcore remix recently - what a track it was and still sounds great. One of Slipmatt's best remixes - one of my favourite parts of the track is the riff after 3 minutes. The original was never released. Would be good to hear how it sounded.
This Happy Rollers remix isn't bad. Not so keen on the choppy vocal sample before breakdown and later on. Otherwise typical Happy Rollers/ Demo sound. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Hzf7syYvVk

Probably my favourite happy hardcore song of all time. The original is available on CD, it was mis-labelled as the remix for some reason. It's not great though, very weak compared to the Slipmatt remix. I did actually hear it in a mix recently but I don't know why someone would play this version instead of the remix. I do really like the breakbeat versions too, I didn't used to though. This is the album you can hear it on. https://www.discogs.com/Various-This-Is-Hardcore/release/173928
