because like, who better to make an album that reflects every little part of your favorite music than yourself?

you mention both Scott and Brisk, but no gabber in their mix? They both play alot of gabbaer o my knowledge :P
warped_candykid Ok...I don't understand the 2-3 DJs per disc....ya, it looks cool in person, but when its on a CD, you can't tell who's mixing which tracks (because it pretty much sounds the same the whole way through).

My ideal CD would be:

CD 1: Dutch/German Happy Hardcore (anthems and rarer tracks in the mix) 180BPM+
CD 2: British Happy Hardcore (more rare tracks than the overplayed anthems) 180BPM+
CD 3: Upfront UK Hardcore (Happier stuff and more techno-ish sounding stuff) 180BPM+

***NO REMIXES OF CLUBLAND TRACKS!!! ALL ORIGINAL WORK!

nantk: That depends on if you do like me. If I where to make 4 albums I could EASILY make it contain variety, considering I like to mix Happy Hardcore, UK Hardcore, Freeform, Gabber and Makina

the question is, would they do it together? :P
Chris Core an album by s3rl, gismo and bannanaman
Chris Core gisbo*
Elipton My dream album would be any album that was constructed not as a showcase of multiple pieces of art, but a single complete piece of art contributed toward by every track. I think an album needs a theme and a certain continuity. Regardless of how they're described officially or unofficially, the D&G album, the Al Storm album.. they're not albums. They're compilations.

When I was producing The Holy Gates, I wanted to try and tell a story from start to finish, but balance a theme with some variety. Each track was produced for that theme. I think too many albums have tracks already made, and the album name and covers made to best suit the music.

I'm not really sure who - from the pool of artists that are active - could make a decent album from the bottom up. Honestly, I doubt we'll see any albums of that nature again from any big artists. I plan to make another, but that's a long way off.
Captain Triceps Gammer b2b Shimamura
Brisk b2b Scott Brown (90s gabber/bouncy techno)
Vibes (Old skool, but not the same old, same old)
Luna-C doing what he does best.
*Bonus Sy b2b Vinylgroover happy classics mix!*
That'd do me nicely!
Sulphurik Might have a think with tracklist.
Quicksilver CD1: Entity & Darwin (Some emotional and uplifting hardcore mixed with a freeform tune or two and some breaks)
CD2: Brisk & Scott Brown (A bit harder and faster mix - a lot of happy stuff and ending with a bit of gabber)
CD3: Sy & Al Storm (never gonna happen cause Sy quit hardcore, but it would probably be filled with cheesy and excellent stuff)
CD4: Kevin Energy, Lost Soul & Solution (a full-blown freeform CD)

... Yeah. Gimme that!!!

1+ yeah man their stuff rules & the artwork they use always makes me laugh
raindancerob pretty unlikely any of these would happen but i can dream

CD1: Lenny Dee B2B Paul Elstak (history of gabba/techno set)
CD2: Tizer B2B Billy Reid (hard trance, bouncy techno & happy hardcore set)
CD3: Brisk B2B Carl Cox (bouncy techno set)
Sulphurik I want to see some tracklists guys!

My idea for this is:

CD1 - Old Skool Mix (1994-1999) Will depend on the tracklist for who it's mixed by.
Probably will be Scott Brown!
CD2 - UK Hardcore (2003-2010) Hixxy & Darren Styles
CD3 - Dutch Hardcore old and new style
Luz CD1: mark eg and mzone - golden era of hard trance
CD2: Easygroove - early to mid 90s
CD3: Sharkey and Kev energy
CD4: Force and Styles - pretty green eyes etc, at the time was quite good!!!
jordesuvi I'm going on the basis that this is a 3CD album mixed by the artists I choose that naturally features new and old tracks by them along with tracks by other artists they handpicked themselves.

Disc 1: Hardcore Rave
Darren Styles & Rhythmics

Disc 2: Feels
Nu Foundation & Cat Like Thief

Disc 3: Happy Fun Time
S3RL & Exhilaration

So, one mix that's "not-called-hardcore-but-FDM" and 2 that contains the same tracks? :P
