I definitly like dutch Hardcore more lately. I find that UK Hardcore and Freeform are lacking on the melodic parts compared to the other styles |

When Hardcore started shifting to different tastes, and CDs became non-existent, I started getting into the Eurobeat scene and collecting the Super Eurobeat CDs (and trying to learn para para routines).
Personally, I miss the cheese and happiness that made Hardcore what it was. I miss those cheesy (and rough/deep) euphoric melodies that made UK Hardcore what it was. Hardcore Underground 2013 was a great album, and I can't wait for Happy Hardcore Underground! I would have bought Hardcore Underground Vol.6, but $30 for 2 out of 4 CDs that interest my taste just wasn't feasible for the time. I would love to see a return to pushing Happy/UK Hardcore mixed CDs back on the market. Maybe one day. |

I can't help wondering if the First Order disc titled "When The People Who Used To Like Us Stopped Liking Us But Some New People Probably Like Us Now Instead" is true.
Did the divergence in styles of hardcore really attract anyone new?
Seems to me that all it did was alienate the existing fanbase who didn't want major evolution. The amount of support for Scott Brown producing the same stuff he was making a decade ago is evidence that none of us wanted change much. (Personally I'm one of the biggest skeptics of Scott Brown's production standstill but give me that stuff over most of what's put out on Futureworld any day) |

Yep, if events numbers are anything to go by, there's definitely no one new. |

I love hardcore with a passion. I have some amazing friends in it that have been some of the most supportive people in my personal life. I'm constantly chatting about it on facebook with LOADS of people. Then when I'm not chatting about it; I'm usually producing it.

Me too. I stopped listening to UK Hardcore a few years back. I got so bored of that generic electro sounding bassline that's in EVERY choon. This & Male vocals too. I've never liked male vocals in Hardcore (with the exception of Junior when he was with Force & Styles)
