You guys ever misheard any hardcore lyrics? I don't think I have misheard any per se but I have heard other words instead of the real ones, even though I know the real ones.
Darren Styles - "Taking Me Higher":
Original: I feel alive
Misheard: I feel a lion
It really sounds like she could sing "a lion". :P
CLSM feat Lisa Abbott - "Time Bomb":
Original: [...] brings me down to my knees
Misheard: [...] brings it down to moneys
I know that money is uncountable and that you can't put it in plural, but it sounds like she sings "moneys" anyway and it's a little annoying because I know it's "my knees" but I keep hearing "moneys" and it sounds so ugly because the word doesn't exist. :D
sora.slx
yeah i know what you mean lol
Hixxy - 2 Dream
original: I have to dream
misheard: I have to pee

yeh heaps.
28 days - What's the deal.
"a beach in las vegas"
"the beach from the first verse"
took me a while on this one, i no vegas is in the middle of a desert but i conveniently chose to ignore it :P.
a good example for me was bloodhound gang - the bad touch. got just about every line of that screwed up
the best is dimmu borgir - hybrid stigmata. i can only tell about 5 words the rest is screaming and growling. god knows what they could be
also a lot of mudvayne stuff i cant tell
edit: just realised it sais hardcore stuff. meh.

Eiffel 65
"I'm blue, da ba dee da ba diiiii"
I heard:
"I'm blue, I'm in need of a guy"
cause really...listen to it, that's exactly what it sounds like

theres about a dozen things that could exactly be. can't remember them all but this was my favourite
"if i was green i would die".
its ridiculous how many hours at recess and lunch that we argued over the lyrics at school
Brian K
utah saints - something good
what they said: utah saints
what I heard: you talk sex =P
lol I think the majority of the world thought it was fuck you.
I didn't realize it was really from you until you hear re-con singing it over just the piano.
also in Here I Am by Ham, Demo and Justin Time there's a lyric that says "I want you entirely." I always thought it was "I want you inside of me."
I want you eternally.
CDJay
Nope, mine sounds better.
djscorch
Here I am by Justin Time:
Sounds like: You hold me, you thrill me, I want you inside of me

Scott brown - Gang Bang Society
Heard as 'Bang Bang society' which still makes more sense to me.

That's probably because gang bang is not a common phrase in the UK.

It's not uncommon, by any means. In fact I doubt I could find anyone (apart from kids) who weren't familiar with the term.
We've not all actually been involved in one though.
*EDIT*
Just realised you might be talking about gangbangers, as in South Central, drive by's, in da' hood, etc etc.

Ah, well, fair enough, pardon my mis-assumption. Like I said though, it's a well known term here, as shown in the classic Black Lace chart topper above.

Great thread!
I literally have hundreds of tracks I do this with, hardcore and mainstream, just can't think of any right now!
For the Eiffel 65 track, sounds more like 'im blue I was beat up and died, I was beat up and died.'
Hugger mugger sounds like 'hardcore music' more than hugger mugger.
Ultravibes - Bang 2009 sounds like 'pint of milk, pint of milk'
Will post more when memory serves me better.
Triquatra
It is hardcore music! Isn't it?
Hardcore Music every minute every day!
what a Stomper of a track!
Claxton
Smiley's lyrics in 'Ordinary People'.
What I though - spread across our fairland
Actual - spread across our bellends
See 15 seconds...

Hahaha!
I was listening to D&G's album on a long drive just last week and picked up on that very lyric for the first time!
djDMS
Hahaha, that's amazing!
MC Deecee
An older track of whizzkids
sweets for my sweet for my sugar for me love, rockin to the rythem makes me pumpy rub a dub /sweets for my sweet for my sugar for me love, rockin to the rythem makes me love my rubber duck.
There's also one of his regular lyrics that starts off a bit like...
I must confess, my arms smell of piss.
Statics roar like a spartan lyric also sounds a bit like he's saying roar like a swan.

Both sound equally ridiculous!
MC Deecee
I'm not 100% sure but I believe that the words sample / are copied from an old track, c j Lewis rings a bell so if that's the original words then it's their fault haha

Which is the actual lyric he does? Always thought it was one of his catchier rhymes but could never make out the lyrics, something about coffee and rubber ducks lol.

Haha, I think it's the first bit, I always hear it as rubber duck though, although the actual lyric was lifted from Google so it could be that the rubber duck one is correct, I shall go and listen to run to me by e logic, it's on bonkers (7 I think) and report back as that's where it's from.
Claxton
That Whizzkid lyric is from an old hip hop track I think.
Is a class lyric and always get good crowd interaction. It does sound like rubber duck though haaa.
Triquatra
MC Marley and UFO track that was misunderstood as opposed to misheard.
Party people in the place are you ready to

To be fair it's 3 words edited from a ranom phrase somewhere, it doesn't need to make sense lol.

i used to have a very good lyric extension on foobar that would try to figure out the lyrics to the vocals of the songs and every time i played Jakazid - Movin to This the lyric window would just be like EVERYBODY'S MOVING TO THIS ON THE ASSHOLE like 8 times in a row
sometimes it would get it right, since it didnt say the same lyrics every time but mostly would come off as rude :L
