brenergy	hi, i'm looking for some good free (or inexpensive) FX plugins to improve the sound of my material. what do you guys use / recommend?

Jonny Rich	the s1 piano by cubic audio is a great free plugin.... if you are after the old skool happy hardcore piano sound then this is the plugin for you. EDIT: i know its not a fx plugin but its a must have in my opinion

Guest	fabfilter is one of the better sounding filters, its not really needed on leads if you use tone2 gladiator, but other synth vsti's will have better highs with saw waves
