12 hrs ?

Going to enjoy today so much. Putting together 25 years of DJ Dougal album. So many incredible memories. ‪#‎oldskool‬ ‪#‎hardcore‬ ‪#‎happyhardcore‬

https://www.facebook.com/djdougalofficial?ref=ts&fref=ts

Seems interesting, wont most of it be D&G stuff? Can't remember too much he's done on his own or even with other producers.
Hard2Get He hasn't really done anything by himself as he doesn't engineer (apart from Love Of My Life that has only his name on). I think he's done more with Mickey Skeedale than Gammer. There is also all the Innovate stuff. Either way there is a large quantity of classics pre-1999 so it would presumably include a lot of those.
Ken Masters Yeah him & Micky Skeedale were a strong duo, hopefully some unmixed, rereleases of their tracks on there :)
warped_candykid Innovate-Universe

I wish that song was on youtube!!
Elliott There are also the collabs with Eruption, DNA and TKM.
Triquatra Brilliant news! :)

Looking foward to a track list!
latininxtc So is being released on the Together We Rise label, or is this a project that's going to be distributed through Hardcore Underground?
Thumpa Neither, it'sthrough Bunter's label. There won't be any stuff with Gammer, the clue is in the title...happy hardcore!
The drunken scotsman Basically everything he's done since 2002(?) has been with Gammer. So Dougal from 1990 - 2002?
Thumpa It will be more 94-97, same as the Vibes CD
Triquatra guess it's mixed then, not DJ friendly :/

You can most likely download the individual tracks too, you normally can from that label's album releases.
arpz '25 Years of DJ Dougal' seems like a silly name.

How about 'I've been doing this for years, here's some tunes that I made towards the beginning of my career' ?

I'm definitely up for it though, Dougal is an absolute beast

That sounds more like a Gammer album

That's what I was getting at :)
Mansy One thing thats always botherd me and i still carnt come to grips with, why is it that people who dont enginneer there own tracks dont eventualy learn to do so (Sy/Dougal etc). Im not saying that what they do is bad in anyway but you would have thought being in a duo and in the scene for such a long time that you would eventualy pick up the tricks on how a song gets put together.
Hard2Get I'm guessing they go for so long without learning to engineer that they just don't feel the need to, which is helped by the fact that they can always get someone else to do it.

I'm sure they probably could if they had to, I imagine they just prefer having someone to work with. Perhaps they simply can't give their tracks that bit of polish on their own. It's at least better then those types who take full credit for an engineers work.

Mortis Tracklist and pre-order can be found here: https://musicmondays.databeats.com/cd/mmcd008
DJ Reevzy Shame this is just a mix cd!
djDMS The hunt for those elusive unmixed tunes continues
Mansy I might give this a listen. Looks alright to be honest. Poor dougal is going to get writers cramp lol
arpz Ordered this with an I <3 Happy hardcore mug... Shame it's not a 3CD with an unmixed disc but still looks like a decent couple of mixes. Has anyone ever bought any of the stuff from bunters label? Is it digipak or jewel case? I would've preferred this to be a HU release...

Not on CD I haven't but like I mentioned earlier, a lot of albums on his label do have an unmixed download available.
latininxtc That 2nd cd is a bit of a letdown compared to the epic buildup the first one gives. Most of those tracks weren't even the best thing he's done with Gammer. And didn't seem like he included anything he's done the last 5 years, which is a shame as there are some more recent tracks that are pretty badass that could have made it into the album.

I got Slipmatt 25 from there and it was jewel case with card outer sleeve. Great quality product too.

Can't see a bad track on cd 2. Bearing in mind that a lot of their tunes were on the recent D&G album then I think that's quite a good tracklisting.

Didn't say they were bad, but just not all the best tracks he's worked on the last 10ish years. A few I'm glad made the cut like Paradise, Tell Me A Story, All the Tears I Cried, but I think he could have gone with 3 much stronger tracks to end the CD with.
Vladel About fifteen quid for two mixed discs, oh yes please let me throw my money away.
Craigavon raver Pre-ordered this last week, looks quality to me but just a pity about lovetoy
Rodz90 It might be worth noting that this is now available digitally unmixed on iTunes.

Thanks for the link!

Shame it's $9.99 in the US and £9.99 in the UK, but it's still a steal for that price.

Will grab it when funds are available.
Vladel I finally got an unmixed tell me a story!

Which is completely disgusting considering it was supposed to be limited to 500 and then 'sold out'... pfft.
latininxtc Maybe they found a box of them in the warehouse somewhere. It happens. It happens every now and then with HU.

arpz Nope, Bunter or dougal posted on facebook about how it was getting a repress, people kicked off and then the post got deleted.
