Pre-Order my album ?Im Old Now WTF Happened? tomorrow at 6pm. I will personally sign each one I love my fans x x x xx

------------------

What's the crack then, is that an HU shun or what?
djDMS Smashing
latininxtc So is this going to be a professional album that comes in decent packaging, or is it going to be a klubfiller-like CD that is home burned and comes in a slip?
djDMS Never bought any from them before but from what I hear, they do a pretty good job.
latininxtc Oh wait just noticed Music Mondays is the distributor, I thought that was part of the title. Yea they released the Billy Bunter album. And they have Whizzkid's album up for pre-order. Interesting that Gammer decided to release it with them and not HU, where he previously had 2 albums he was involved in released.
wong who cares how it's getting released? it's getting a release that's all that matters
arpz It will more than likely be a jewel case with a cardboard case round the outside - like the other music mondays releases, they are nice releases for sure :)

wong, it's 'interesting' at least to see who is releasing it, I'll be buying it, it's just weird how we're already seeing prehype from Gammer about this one and yet the HU releases barely got a mention and when they finally did it was something like 'i done a thing, um buy it if u want lol'

It's not just weird, it's rather insulting. Here's what he wrote on his fb post:

I gotta get this off my chest

Thank you every one for the love and support over the past 15 years.

I can't believe I've come this far to release a collection of all my favourite releases on CD.

"I'm old now WTF happened? "

On sale from tomorrow at 6pm limited to 500 copies. I will personally sign every one individually. (Dick Pics on Request)

Thank you every one for the continued love.

He had an album out with all his work with Dougal (First Order), then he had his own album from all his work on his own label (Muffin Music: Literally Everything, Not Literally). So are these albums not a collection of his favorite tracks as well??? With his mention of the 15 years he's worked in the industry and he can't believe he's come this far, he makes it sound like this is his first time around with doing an album.

While I still like what he produces, I'll more than likely skip this album. It doesn't sound like there will be anything new on this, and the only reason worth having this is for his autograph and to have it as a collector's item. I'm not one that's interested in signatures, and I'm not into collecting albums like this one.

Presentation can do a lot to make a release feel more valuable.

Well yeah, weird & insulting is what I was getting at - I'm still really struggling to get my head around the whole thing, it was odd at the time that he didn't want to promote the HU ones but I figured maybe it was just how he rolled but then to see the opposite deal with this Bunter one surely just proves that there's some sort of disdain. I hope CDJay will chime in on this

Mortis Thanks to this I checked out Music Mondays site (first time for a while) and got the Dougal album for half price

As for Gammers album, if it's got the likes of Steam, Back 2 Front, Into the Future, A New Feeling, Substance etc then I'll be getting it but if the tracks are his newer ones then I'll skip it.

Yeah I got the hard copy. I'm not a big fan of digital albums if I'm honest.

The tracklist for the Gammer album looks spot on but 41 tracks in one mix...not for me.
Ikstra Completely agree, 41 tracks in a paid mix just doesn't appeal to me. The tracklist looks great though, and the signature doesn't bother me either way (although I did get the signed HU package a while back) so will be giving this one a miss.

I didn't realise until now, but it's interesting that Gammer's undercutting HU on the Muffin Music album:

http://www.hardcoreunderground.co.uk/store/product/id/41 - £15, 3 physical CDs
https://muffinmusic.bandcamp.com/ - £5 (above as a digital release + 2 bonus digital CDs)
Vladel His mixing style as in he doesn't bother? I've never really listened to his mixing but surely it's got to be fade in/fade out at best

His mixing style is very fast and furious. Very rarely do you hear a full tune as he's usually mixing out before its properly kicked in. It's very skilfull as you would see if you watched any of his YouTube mixes but it can be quite frustrating at times, especially in a studio mix. Great hearing it live though imo.
Craigavon raver This does appeal to me, but as some all ready mentioned alot of tracks for 1 mix cd, but i will prob end up ordering it anyway, be good to have

He won't. Well, at least he won't say what he's really thinking but I don't blame him.

It was obvious even at the time that Gammer had shafted HU. His DJ mix on First Order was the laziest he's ever done.

His distaste for HU (for whatever reason) is palpable.

He long since passed the point of overdoing it for me.

Can't see "Enjoy The Silence" on there. Will have a closer look.

Easy money, I guess. He put in almost no effort and sold a bunch of albums.

I'm as annoyed by the whole thing as you are. It's a clear middle finger to HU.

I'm guessing it was this.

https://www.happyhardcore.com/forums/topic.asp?topic_id=69515

latininxtc LMAO oh yes! That whole mess!

In retrospect, both of them were in the wrong. What Elliott gave wasn't constructive criticism because there was no specifics given on what makes his music seem like shit to Elliott and there were no solutions given on how to improve his productions. And saying he suffered a stroke is rather insulting and a bit offensive if he didn't. And Gammer shouldn't have been a douche to even bother publicize it because he knew exactly the type of feedback he'd get from it. It was a move to stroke is social media ego.

Now back to this album. While Gammer is busy recycling his tracks of yore that have already appeared numerous times on numerous albums and DJ mixes just to scrounge up a few pennies from his followers, labels such as Hardcore Underground are busy doing bigger and better things, and focus more on releasing brand new material instead of recycling their back catalog. With or without Gammer, Hardcore Underground is heading towards the right direction.
_Jay_

Outrageous tracklist. I think I'll probably get this.

I wasn't going to bother because I'm so angry at him at the moment but I can't really deny how much I've loved his music for well over a decade so maybe I just can't turn it down :/

edit: put my bloody order in. he's still a right cock though.

I don't really have much to say about it, tbh, we put out those two albums which both did well. We paid on time, pretty much the minute it was asked in most cases, which most companies wouldn't do, and did out level best with every aspect of the project.

I only heard about this album just before you guys did, and haven't had much in the way of contact between April and recently. I did try to have a long chat @ HTID Concept (yes, I know raves are a terrible setting) urging both Gammer and the other TWR guys to talk to us more as we're all working towards the same goal but *shrugs*.

There's no bad blood as far as I'm aware, and it's not fair to single out any one one player as I'm convinced this is an industry wide phenomenon that has been getting progressively worse since 2009 or so.

I'm sure this album will do well, and the more professionally curated and presented albums out there the better IMO!

Yeah, agreed. A fan of the tunes but not a fan of having 30 second versions of them. I have them all in some format or another.
trippnface first mix is def beast sexy
Elliott The mixing on this album is actually really lazy. The track to disc ratio made me think Gammer was going to go to town but I think he only really does that with pre-planned and rehearsed tracklists.

In conclusion: definitely not worth buying. Most of us probably have all of these tracks digitally and the mixes aren't worthwhile.

Agree with this. Very disappointing mixing by anyone's standards, let alone Gammer. So half arsed and lazy. The track list made me buy the album in the first place even knowing that there was no unmixed tracks , but I expected a bit more energy and flow to the mixes. Not worth buying.
arpz same report here, lazy as ****. edit: and yes, it doesn't get much more 'pre-planned' than an album release.

Also, there's zero consistency in his signature lol. The first one I recieved didn't come with a signature, I mailed them so they mailed out another sleeve, check this out for effort:

This is my one:

And here's two I found on his page:

Yeah, I get that obviously it's not going to be identical each time but this looks like he just sat down with a pen and just randomly scrawled whatever shit he fancied. Can just imagine him sat there all like 'hahaha this mix is shit, and this ****ing idiot is getting a scribble'

I don't know if I'm making too much of the signature issue perhaps.
Captain Triceps To be fair when I have a couple of forms to fill which require a bunch of signatures I do sort of burn though them with squiggles, let alone sitting and signing however many CD's, most people would switch off and just half-arsedly sign them!
Not that it's an excuse or anything, especially if it's something folk have paid for.

Well yeah, I suppose the mixes are a bit more important then the autographs!

Yeah, you're right. I didn't express that very well.

His proper mixes (mixtapes etc.) are all carefully rehearsed. If it wasn't already obvious (which it should be to most people), he basically said as much himself. If you put 30 tracks that he isn't used to playing in front of him, he won't magically produce a great mix without a lot of effort. Clearly he doesn't think artist albums are a good enough reason to put in that effort (which, actually, is pretty disgraceful when people buy your album expecting that you put some effort into it).

This is pretty much exactly how I imagine it went down.
Mickey Init And are they 30 seconds long, the tracks?
arpz I think the shortest was like 40 something seconds, most of them about a minute and a bit but I'm pretty sure at least one of them was an edit (Jenna vocals too many times in a row on ordinary people) plenty of mixes that are just basically faded across, nothing at all like one of his DJ sets and nothing at all like anyone elses DJ sets either, it plays out more like one of those youtube album promotional videos, really not worth the bother
Mickey Init Ah ok. I don't know why but I've never been a fan of mixes where the tunes are 30-90 seconds long. I like to hear as much of the tune as possible. I also don't get those edits that you mentioned where they lift bars from the midsection - why not just make the tune like that in the first place?
arpz Well, I get why they do it - to get the 'main' or 'best' bit of the tune in the mix, it's only necessary when trying to cram on so many tunes.

I'm not opposed to a mix with really quick mixes but that's if the mixes are actually interesting and worthwhile, a Gammer DJ set for example - It loses a bit of it dance/singability but is technically impressive; these mixes have neither

lol Did you happen to get one??? They were selling it at RaveGear, the station that was selling all the HU albums. Got one as part of a large exchange between me and Jon. Have yet to listen to it though, have been listening to HU7 all day!!!

Not that it's an excuse or anything, especially if it's something folk have paid for.

Signatures are a bigger pain in the ass than it looks definitely, especially when you're signing your signature 50+ times. Whoever gets the HTID USA Weekender posters and compare the signatures will notice a huge difference among them. And they didn't get lazy towards the end, it's just an exhausting process when you're doing 50+ at a time. Nanobii and Dune were doing them Friday night and I could see their hands and wrist were bothering them during the last half. Can't wait to see that completed poster though!

I take my Scott Brown authograph any time :P
Vladel I was thinking if you could take the writing off the cd cover and replace it with "REWARD for gammers lost talent, last seen 2011" I reckon it would go viral
Craigavon raver I'm happy enough with the cd, track wise obviously! as already been said about some of the mixing, which did surprise me, but still happy enough to have the cd in my collection

Can't believe I didn't notice this post earlier. Underrated.

Currently trying to decide whether it would be worth the effort. I'm already the most famous Gammer h8ter in the scene so I don't have much to lose.

Or gain for that matter..
