hey, i paid a grand total of 160 deck + 160 other deck + 60 rubbish mixer + nothing for speakers and amp, got them off family. 50 quid cd from 325, and it's nice to have 50 quid left over for vinyl. I paid a grand total of 430 pounds for a total setup not too bad if you ask me. I got stanton str8-50's they defy belt drive decks, theyre unskipabble (spelling..must learn to spiell...ha ha..) but i recommend something like gemini for starters.

oh and as for the decks..total crap. Semi-automatic?? i think not. Second hand decks are okay, but look for wear & tear and watch out for the pitch control. Also if you're buying a second hand mixer you have GOT to try out the crossfader. If it feels as tough to move as the volume controls, don't buy it. They're 25 uk pounds to replace *cough* ripoff *cough*

Well, I Have Had A Few Sets Now..
Started With A Set Of "PRO 150's" which Were Absolutely Sh*t !!

Then I Got A Set Of KAM BDX 280's.. Slightly Better But Still not Great..

Last October I Treat Myself To The Best I Could Afford..
NUMARK TT100's.. And Although I Found Them Quite Hard To Mix On At First ..
( They Are Directs With +/- 10% Pitch, B*stard To Get To Grips With !!)
I Have Got The Hang Now, And They Are Bombproof, I Would Say They Are As Comfortable To Mix On As Technics, With The Added Bonus Of 10% Pitch, And They Also Have The "Reverse" Button, For Reverse Play, Which Is Kinda Fun !!
They Will Also Play 78 RPM.. So I Would Have To Say For Practicality, They Got It All, Apart From An LCD Display..
Plus They Dont Have That Shitty Plastic Feel to Them, They Are In An Alloy Case, that Is Coated In Gloss Enamal Paint.. Looks Like The Grand Piano Of Turntables !!

I Got A NUMARK DM 2002X Mixer Aswell..
The Dex Were £219 Each, And The Mixer Was £160 ..
£598 In Total..

They Are Available From www.htfr.com You Can Get Finance From Them, Which Comes In VERY Handy !!!

=o)
Hope Dis Helps.

Yeah, They Are Ok Midway, I Love Linin Da Beats Up And Then Whackin A Track In On Reverse Every Now And Again In A Set.. If You Get The Right Choon, You Can Make Sum Right Funky Mixes !!

HEHE

I Woud Say Technics Are Slightly Easier To Mix On, But Thats Cuz They Only Go To + / - 6 So The Beats Cant Drift Asmuch !

I Luv My Numark'z Tho !
=o)

Hey PUREFM watch out for when your decks start to flutter. Meaning Numark TT's are known for the pitch shifting automaticly. The older and more use the decks get, the flutter will happen more frequently. I have watched a pair of my friends go down the tubes just from regular use. Dont get me wrong, the torque of them is ok, but you will soon find out that pitch shift can really mess up a good mix. Do yourself a favor, sell the Numarks and save a little bit and get some Technics M3d's.
