i own a YAMAHA dx 21( old 80's synth, great brass ssamples) and want to know if i can use it as a midi keyboard, i use Fl and Reason and i am buying a Y midi cable that has 1 male and 2 female plugs. and joystick adapter. my keyboard has midi in and out 5 pin. is it possible to use this as a midi keyboard.???? thanks

i can't see any reason why you shouldn't be able to use it.

Hey sam,
you shouldnt have a problem with it, however u might ned to experiment to find out the midi transmit channel.
Also it might be an idea to do a search on the net (google.com is the best) for some spec sheets on the dx, to find out if the KB can send aftertouch and pitch bend messages...
