This song is so sentimental and nostalgic. This song makes me think of my brother Robert. He died at the age of twenty from Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma (a type of Cancer)
He first introduced me to rave music. The first mix tape he played for me was L.A. Style (James Brown is Dead, Balloony, I'm Ravin'). I was hooked immediately. We must have played that tape fifty times on our trip to San Francisco! That was our last adventure together before he got really sick and was eventually hospitalized. So, I'd like to take a serious moment here to dedicate and express the hopeful words in this song as a preservation of all the fun and memories he and I had together. And also to any people out there who’ve lost someone, and who might take comfort in this song knowing that their loved ones are in a better place

^^ that's really sad to hear ... last year a close friend of mine was diagnosed with cancer. it was diagnosed relatively late, but thankfully they caught it just in time and with the chemo and radiotherapy it looks like he'll make a good recovery. i still remember though how we all felt when we found out, and we were faced with the prospect of living out our lives without him. my thoughts go out to you and to everyone else who's lost a love one, and i urge everyone to enjoy and make full use of the time we have with our family and friends. we'll all be together in a better place someday, but let's make the most out of this one while we're still here.

Even worse, my mother died when i was 11, very sad :*(**
