I herd a tape quite a while ago, i think it mite be around the year 1996 (mabe earlyer). It was a Slipmatt tape and i think it was an helter skelter event, ime not posotive tho.
The mix started off with getting stronger. one of the songs from the rocky films. and other songs in this mix were a slipmatt remix of eruption - let the music, and a hardcore mix of INXS- Mystify.
I have 2 questions realy;
1) does ne 1 know if the hardcore version/mix of INXS - Mystify, and the tune from rocky - getting stronger, have specfic names because i cant seem 2 find them ne where, or which dj they were by.
2) This is the harder 1, can ne 1 out there tell me if they know the hardcore mix tape ime on about, can they tell me what was the ezact date and venue of this slipmatt set etc, i know its a bit of a big request but this was the first ever hardcore tape i had, it was a copy of the actual tape so i never knew the details of the set, apart from what the mc was saying (thats how i know its slipmatt), and ive lost the tape and i despratly need a version of it again.
thanks very much if uve got ne ideas.

The tune you refer to with the INXS sample is Check This Out (slipmat remix) by Serious, on Bona Ruba records, and it was '96. I've got the tune on a Happy Daze album, and started one of my favourite personal tapes with that tune, good hunting.

The tape sounds like Helter Skelter in April 1996. If it is it has Man Parris MCing with Dr S Gachet on the other side. The last tune is by Dougal and Mikee Skeedal that I can't remember the name of. I think the event was called Voyager or something like that and a had a woman looking like she was dressesed in bondage on the fornt cover. I might be thinking of another event though.
My memory is not 100% because some thieving pikee nicked the tape when my car was on the layby on the A500 in Stoke after I flipped it so if you get offered one covered in mud other crap don't accept it!
