sounds fantastic mate! don't think i've ever heard anyone hit the nail on the head quite so well when it comes to that mid-90s freeform sound.

As I said on SC, I looove this one! HUGE tune!
Though I do notice that the kick isn't as strong in the mix as it could be, and giving more definition and presence might help the track a lot. This can be helped by EQing other sounds. You have a lot of leads and percussion with loads of low end, which muddys the mix and makes it harder for the kick to punch through

Nah, i didn't mean that it have to specifically sound like that kick abj's used, just improvise the technique on an overdriven 909 kick like the oldskool happy hardcore kick sounds like and it should work out right too. ;)
Because what I felt it the energy of the kick in his track could have been lost as he might not have remove the portion of the kick that is where the release of the kick's envelope is acting on.

Hm, I thought I fixed the kick! Let me get some coffee in my system and I'll venture into the DAW.

Edit: Okay, went in and fiddled with some stuff. The lead, acid, and effects, and appropriate parts of the percussion had appropriate high passes around the 140Hz area (although I raised the lead's Q a bit just to be on the safe side). I think a lot of the problem was that the kick didn't have have enough dynamic range; I removed the saturator effect in Battery 3 and that seemed to give it a bit more unce. I also tweaked it's ADSR envelope to have 0ms attack (previous 1ms, I forgot to change that!) and 2.5ms release (previously it was around 17ms). If it matters, here's the EQ and limiter for the kick:
I put those two notches there to open up some room around the lower and middle area. I guillotined the very bottom end because it was cramping my headroom.
Reducing the limiter's effect made the kick lose it's defining distorted sound, and raising it muddied it up, so I left it as is.

You've also lost the filter crackle on the pads at 2.28 which is great.
I still feel that that lead is slightly too loud in the mix. A slight in-balance between the lead kick/bass combo, but you'll have to call on other members on that because it may be subject to opinion.
One of the best tracks I've heard from this style produced in the past few years. This kind of music just isnt something people produce anymore - and its a devastating shame
