is it just me or has anyone else noticed that most of our hardcore djs actually started out dj-ing rap n rnb then moved onto hardcore.. further more saying that dj-ing rap is too hard ?? heh since when ..

and on another note.. have you noticed that hardcore dj's that incorporate both are actually more noticed then those who are just into one genre..

eg: geoff da chef & tymez 2 ( both australian.. )

i also noticed a few grew up listening to punk like rob gee for example.....

i think these guys just like extreme forms of music, dirty and nasty! mostly gabber heads though

i couldnt imagine someone spinning rap and then turning to trance!

- I said it before and i'll say it again, dance while the record spins -

Spinning hardcore and spinning rap are different - from what I've seen and what I've been told rap *is* hard to DJ, in that it places a lot more emphasis on the quality of your turntablism. I'd be hesitant to say that one is harder to spin than the other.

I dunno about that ... I can totally imagine someone going from "F*** Tha Police" by NWA into "Heaven" by DJ Sammy

I can, i like both those songs and even harder stuff than NWA like C-Bo he is the only recording artist ever to be sent to jail 4 their lyrics.

^^ one of my favourite albums to date is "Str8 Off Da Streetz of Muthafukkin Compton" by Eazy-E. Where can you go wrong with lyrics like "since you put yourself on my dick I'll put my nutz on ya chin", or "and he said, please don't kill my mother, so I bashed his head in with my Louisville slugger". Oh, how I cried when I realised it was stolen when my house last got robbed ...
