I'm trying to record another liveset and Asio4All is being a jerk. Both input and output sound quality is bad, little worse than 128kbps MP3. I had the problem with the output before I formatted my hard drive, but input quality was 100%. And now even input quality sucks!

My sample rates are 44100 Hz on input, output and FL Studio, so that shouldn't be a problem. I tried turning off hardware buffer in my Realtek audio driver in FL Studio but it didn't work. I tried recording with Reaper but the problem persisted..

What should I do?

Use the standard drivers. You don't need an ASIO driver to record audio.

Realtek doesn't let me record in FL Studio...

Reinstall sound card driver, reinstall ASIO4All. Is the sample rate set to 44.1 in ASIO4All too?

ASIO4All has no sample rate option that I see. I'll try reinstalling the drivers now.

A mono jack cable will not effect the audio quality. It will be the same audio, but in mono.

Well even quality improved. Just like the old times, playback is mediocre but recording 100% quality. Many sounds aren't really centered or mono. That's probably why I couldn't have got full quality. Supersaw on offbeat bass, for example, was stereoized by detuning, and playing only left channel on both speakers sucks ass and centers the sound. However, this time I gave up live-mixing for certain reasons, ima just mix it with Reaper.

There is no loss of quality though, just a loss of content. It's important to point that out because there is a big difference.

I know but it sounded quite like loss of quality.
