So trying to make music again and while I was messing about I added this part. I like it cause it sounds super cheesy but does it sound weird to you all? Should I just replace it with a pad breakdown or leave it as is?

Final song is floating around 7:30 - 8:00. Gonna try and see if I can trim it down a notch.

Doesn't sound weird at all mate it's got potential that one :) I would just try harmonizing that riff a little, for example change the bass note every 1 or 2 bars to create variation.

It's your song and you should do what you like the most. As for it sounding weird? No not at all. Why would you think that? It sounds good. As the other guy said there is potential (with your production in general if this song is anything to go by). My only advice would be to keep doing what you're doing.

Thanks for the feedback and advice guys!
As for why I thought it sounded weird, I guess its because it sounded very different from what I normally do (Intro-Breakdown-Chorus-Breakdown-Chorus-Outro). Almost finished with it though. I'll post it here if any of you are interested in the finished track.

Thanks again :3

In start and end, when bass is actually changing notes - 3rd phase is off harmony a bit. Try changing it. Other than that, sounds good

Here's the full track if you're interested. I tried adding different notes (not too much) for the bass on that breakdown and sounds a bit better.

Just saw this. Sorry I know this sounds stupid and not to mention its something I should already know how to fix but could you take a look at it and tell me probably a way to fix it? Been messing with it for a few hours and not entirely sure how I should go about fixing it.
