Ok, here is the question of the month! Someone I trust will get this... if not here, than there is little where else.

Why is it that Hold me know 97 in some cases uses the original vocals that Dj Highlander employs, while other versions use a decidedly female voice. What is odd is that there is a female voice and the usual voice for each 97 mix . Like here, this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SdyAnVYB1Qs Highlander - Hold Me Now '97 (Bass-D & King Matthew Remix) is using the original voice and then http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S6VNB5752iQ is using the female. I only mention this as I was really interested in the female voice on Vinyl and did not get what i wanted when purchasing http://www.discogs.com/Highlander-Hold-Me-Now-97/release/161770. I'm gonna try http://www.discogs.com/Highlander-Hold-Me-Now-97/release/1103242 but i have my doubts.

perhaps its just a CD special mix or something, or a sp ed for Happy Rave 9 ? I really need help on this one ladies and gentlemen... I'm usually pretty good with this but i'm'a stumped and do indeed want my proper vinyl.

This is a call to the experts of the days past... I implore your counsel !

This might not be much help but ive got one of those happy rave albums and "Profound - 4 oclock" is slightly different to the vinyl version ive got, the kick drum is alot softer, the softer version isnt on the vinyl.
So i'm guessing they are slightly different album versions/mixes probably made to make them more commercial sounding.
Only a guess though.

Thank you both,

yes it wouldn't surprise me if it was mislabeled, intentionally or not. And yes, the version on the Have Rave albums is the one I'm after, but on 12". It's just, jeez, it's the same track with the same synths, but a changed voice. it's as annoying as the 12" of critical mass - Happy generation not having the "Trimix" dag nammit.

Thanks for your help, Hopefully someone can clear up the mystery
