Flicked through it quickly and just passed at 43/50. :P I'm 31 and have been driving since I was 17. A lot of it is just common sense questions tbh, I'm surprised I got 7 wrong though.

I got something like 35, couldn't believe that, like mentioned a lot of them seemed common sense. Horns are there to be blasted, surely?

I got a 32 out of 50. Not bad for an American. And someone who doesn't know how to drive...

I did it again and got 40, still a fail. The ones I didn't know were things like speed limits with trailers, road signs, hand signals. I'm not a motorist so I could only really guess at some of them. Others were obvious safety precautions.

In case anyone wants to try, here's a practice test from Texas. I got an 80% passing, and that was with missing like 4 questions.

I saw the first one, had no idea what is was, and quit. I guess there's no way I would no about signage in the UK.

Well as you clearly noticed before I finished responding is that it's not bad for an American to not do so poorly in a driving test from the UK.

And it's driving, the laws probably don't drastically differ from one country to another. And like someone mentioned, a lot of it is common sense. I myself do not drive, yet I still managed not to fail miserably on either practice test.

heres another for the uk, with different questions http://toptests.co.uk/mock-theory-test-1/

none of them are like the dvd with random questions and signs etc, is like a cscs card test

some questions are just wrong in general, there are no cars on the same side that should be oncoming on a motorway

its why nobody gets the company car

this is probably the best site out of a forum comp

http://www.drivinglicencetests.co.uk/

some questions get your answers wrong, even if you clicked on the right answer

I got 84% on that one. Did have to guess a couple as it's things that aren't the same over here though!

Yeah, it could only really be Texas. Probably Galveston or San Antonio.
