I'm pretty sure they teach weegie in schools as a second language now. Extremely beneficial in this multi cultural world we live in. Learning to order a deep fried pizza & a can of bru in any country is essential.

They do indeed. Battered first of course. You've never lived till you've experienced the delight that is the "pizza crunchy". It'll be a short life mind but a fulfilled life none the less.

Usually grab one when I'm up visiting the rellies. Instantly regret it.

The US has state fairs which regularly deep-fry anything and everything you can think of. Most popular is the deep-fried twinkie. But yes deep-fry pizza sounds plausible.

In fact found this, from one of the biggest, if not the biggest, state fair in the US, the one in Texas near Dallas.
