I've just moved to the UK recently but I haven't done a UK hardcore event yet (shame on me!) Is the UK hardcore scene active in London? I haven't seen any events nearby for the moment, all the events listed on hhc.com are in the north of england or the rest of the UK. I'm not much into oldschool and freeform, I prefer things like Darren Styles, Gammer & cie

I've mostly been to London, but it seems like the location the events usually are at have closed down. Occationally the Hardcore Underground guys have some events in London.

The next event with some kind of Hardcore on it in London will be Sinistry, and that will be at some point in late October. It's not UK Hardcore though, but Freeform. The main room is Hard Dance, and the smaller room is Freeform. Attracts a very loyal, committed group of ravers and it's a real highlight of the rave calendar. Great people, great atmosphere and a fantastic venue.
Following that, you're probably looking at the next installment of the I Love Hard Beats event series - and that will be in February. These guys put on the best raves I've ever been to.

Just added an event a bit closer in Northampton on 24th October, should be on the calendar soon
What one's that mate? 24th rings a bell. Is it H.A.S.?

Yeah that's it Jay.. you going? Might be able to get a beer if so since I sort of darted off @ Rehab
I have always wanted to do a H.A.S. event - and I definitely will do one day - but I really don't think I can do this one sadly mate. I'm going to Finland on the 27th and I'm just gonna be struggling for cash by that point in the month. :-(
Where abouts you from again mate? You going to Stomp! next week?

Southampton, so Stomp! is a little far for me, as much as I would love to... shame as well since it's the last one isn't it?

Ive been intending to go to a rave for quite a while but dont have any mates around here into hardcore and money has been an issue recently.. I was waiting for one mate to come with me who lives up in Lancaster but tbh im so fed up with waiting now...
Im moving to Northampton very soon into my own place so I have been looking at going to HAS in October, as it will be so hassle free for me to get there.

london the worst place in the uk for clubs, they are all gay clubs and have crap music, and most of them shut down, so there are 5 or so main clubs left in the place, most of them shut down because they were in the way for the london to scotland HS3 track http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2483227/London-Edinburgh-just-THREE-hours-Now-HS2-extended-Scotland-slash-journey-times.html its all buy you or loose in court and get nothing, the gov is suppose to pay out 50 billion in land before building anything
people who don`t like uk hardcore prefer hardcore, but not gay shit uk hardcore events have

ripr, I forgot about this one. More a general dance festival than a UK Hardcore rave. Force & Styles are playing main stage, which would be special! I'm not going, though.

There used to be Hardcore History but don't think that's running these days and Raindance doesn't seem to have modern Hardcore much any more. United Dance stopped ages ago and Slammin' seem to have stopped doing events in London. Used to be loads of smaller events in Jacks and around there as well but they stopped. Pretty much Freeform or Gabber on the Hardcore front now and the Gabber relies on knowing who to speak to. ;) There was a regular event in High Wycombe (just outside London) called Hardcore Elements but that's gone now too.
Definitely recommend Hard Beats though and they do usually have at least one UK Hardcore set. Of course if Hardcore Underground go back that'll be good and I've heard Sinistry is good but never actually made it down for one. be nice if Slammin' did another event at Alexandra Palace really.
Man I miss Raindance at the SE1 and United Dance/Slammin' events at Bagley's. :'(
