There's a mix that comes up every so often that has the same lyrics of a hiphop song but is definitely by a different singer.
The part I remember is "Been a long time, shoudn't've left you, without a dope beat to step to". Repeats a few times. This keeps getting stuck in my head and I would love to find it.

considering how many hardcore songs actually use rap vocal samples, it's not always that easy to find any specific track :P

Thanks guys, the track really sounds like a different vocalist than the original.
Was hoping it was a favorite of someone else's.
Hm, year would be tricky. I know it was played in the last few months. Probably after 2005. Not really narrowing it down, I know.
