Dos n e 1 own the slammin vynil tape pack recorded live at bagleys (may its soul rave on forever) 3rd september 1999? if so did u eva listeb to the jimmy j/ mc charlie b (may his soul rave on forever) old skool tape?? i still do its great - if u can geta holda a copy iam sure ull agree.

i have the tape pack from bagleys with blackmarkert and clarkee but i lost jimmy j and swan e tapes im well gutted do you know where i can download them from

I'm not sure how you managed to drag this this thread up, but for what it's worth I'm 9/10 sure I have that pack, I'll have a spy when I get the chance and rip the tapes if I have them.

Well I can safely say that this thread serves a proof that, even 10 to 11 years ago, the use of the English language including spelling and grammar was already being slowly destroyed by the use of abbreviated text speak and incorrect letters :(
It sounds boring I know, but nothing seems to have changed since then, it's just got worse :(

I don't think it has got worse at all, but much better. It was at it's height 03-06 thanks to nokia T9 dictionary and mobiles with actual buttons. Now mobiles spell real words and so do people, normally at least. Also, noone in this generation is 15 anymore, which helps.

Also with contracts/ unlimited text packages you needn't worry about fitting and entire sms message in one txt to avoid being charged twice. Txt speak really SHOULD be obsolete by now. Sadly, it isn't.

I'm intrugued, I hope the set is recorded as I won't be making the event.
I hope he does appear, I understand there are some less then reputable reasons as to why he hasn't been involved for quite some time, probably just rumours and chit chat, and I'm sure he has been booked in the last couple of years and not shown.
It would be bloody grand if he is inspired to make a full on return to hardcore though!

Just seen Jimmy J has returned. Great news. I used to chat to him at Slammin Vinyl in Kingston when record shopping. I miss those days of going to the local record shop. I used to work hard all week then spend it all on a Saturday buying new choons
