Hehe, Yeah I'm comming out of nowhere with this stuff, it's not at all related to Hardcore - well, unless you look to get the same kind of emotional/energetic vibe from it.
IMO Goa and Psytrance are the best music in the world, next to ofcourse hardcore. Personally, Goa provides me with insight and emotion while hardcore gives me energy and mood. Freeform hardcore is my fav right now, especially FINRG, anything by Carbon Based or Alek Szahala. What's cool about their freeform hardcore is that they're borrowing alot of sounds/vibe from Psytrance and mixing it with the most intense hardcore out there, Trancey as hell and energetic as F*ck.
Anyway, just wondering if anyone else here shares my views on this kind of music :) I'll provide some links to samples of psy/goa trance if anyone wants some.

I heard a old german goa cd on radio about 1year ago, the dude was explaining how it started and why it was played on dat and stuff. was quite good and the old tracks were good too.
I heard a few mixes of psytrance thu, and I really didnt like it

sorry if u aasked any questionsin the post; all i read was the topic title because i am knackered and can't be arsed.
anyway yea, Goa and Psy Trance are class

I love Psy-trance and Goa! Its what got me into dance music in the first place (Euro mix on Danny Rampling's Love Groove Dance Party is what got me started) It's all so good!
Union Jack and Man With No Name are probably my fav producers.

The culture behind it is what I really love, It takes PLUR to a whole new level. :)
DI.fm is one place to find some streaming goa/psytrance radio, but there are lots of others as well offering more selection and higher quality. I'll link a few right here for those interested.

I go to some psy-trance parties!! I always thought they would be better if they had a freeform set around 2 a.m.....you know just to hype up the crowd and have everyone wiggle around like worms on the ground (cause everybody is so f*cked up on shrooms and acid).

Yeah like it coz the only time ive heard it is when totally ****ed at a party in the woods- so it brings back good memorys! Always know weve found the party when you hear the sound of thumping psytrance in the distance

i really like psy trance need to listen to more of it tho havent been to ne raves or spent enough time listening to it really

psytrance/goa is almost as good as hardcore to me :)
agree with you about finnish freeform sounding like it has elements of psy in it,
everyone is crazy for the finnish stuff here in my city (adelaide) and besides a bit of UK freeform there isnt really any hardcore scene here...
we got carbon based live here earlier in the year. . . PHWOAR :D their track cyclone is definitely my fav finnish track
