Step 1 : Lube up
Step 2 : Get promotor on own
Step 3 : Insert penis into his rear
Step 4 : Get gig

The End.

find some webspace to put it up and i'm sure a fair few will have a listen. just don't post the tracklist as it'll get cut out - last thing ya need is scott brown knocking on your door saying "wheres me royalties for using my tracks without permission!!"

Surely would be the other way round innit? *lol*

Make a *perfect* demo CD, preferably with something to put you above the rest, an angle, then spam every promoter you can find :)

This is true, the better your skills are, the more respect you'll get from the community, but as far as getting gigs go you just have to network to the right people in your area. Your friends will just start booking you for their parties when you're halfway good enough, and eventually when you start to show some promise other people may give you a chance too.

not having played out I dont know how useful my advice will be but here goes
Start by making a demo that you believe is flawless or close to flawless pass that out to every raver and promoter in your area Build yourself a webpage. Play for free untill somone comes up asking you to play for them instead of vice versa Take every gig. Build a reputation for showing up to gigs early(or at least on time and from there its all talent and fate that decides. If this doesn't work throw your own parties then no one has a choice but to let you play:)

everyone persecutes artists till they are famous then they say they stood by them all along
